So, just out of curiousity how many peeps here bought mass effect 3 and completed it?

Further did you think there was something wrong with the ending?

I have yet to purchase myself as I was awaiting all of the revelations that those first in line can provide before I purchase, HOWEVER I noted on the official Bioware forums that there is all sorts of drama about the ending choices, and "indoctrination" theory.

So! Whats your opinion? Was the Indo theory right and it was cut for whatever reason to expedite the games release? Is this the case? It appears people SEE elements in the game that support this assertion.

And finally is the buy DLC button at the end of the game a extrapolation of the Indo theory? Otherwise why is the socket there?

I mean it...some big spoilers...so stop here if you haven't beaten it.

I beat the game and was very disappointed with the ending.  Honestly there are very few game endings that I can say that I thought did the game justice.  I feel that ME3 mislead me into thinking that if I collected all the war assets (which I did) I would receive a better ending...when that wasn't true.  Just playing the game through will get you the 'best' ending.  I felt like the ending was a bit forced in a way, a new entity we've never heard of (that I've dubbed the Reapermaster) and the destruction of all the Mass Relays makes no sense at all.  I expected the ending of ME3 to be the end of the story of Shepard, instead its the end of the 'cycle'.  Thats ok, I just didn't see that epic of an arc coming.

I would have liked for them to explain the options a bit more and explain the consequences of those endings a bit.  Instead we get little snippets of scenes and are left to make it up ourselves...which is an artistic style....just not one I like.  Especially after the investment many players have put into the game over its 3 iterations.

The ending of "Tell me more stories about the Shepard" was incredibly silly.  They reload you right before the attack on the illusive man so...Shepard story is now "Well Shepard delayed the salvation of Earth in order to <insert DLC content>"

Republic have you played all three ME games? And in your opinion which is the best? I have ME2. Still trying to finish it...truth is I am avoiding trying to conclude it. Damn shame this game was not a Starflight redux.

They are each unique.  Other than the ending, I really enjoyed ME3.

I liked the story of ME1, I liked the 'loyalty quests' of ME2 because it let you really get to know your crew, and I like the tension and atmosphere of ME3.  You really feel like your under pressure the whole time your playing.  ME3 also concludes many character storylines in great ways.  And the ending might be better if they'ed just update it with additional video to explain what happened a bit more.  They don't really need to change it, just tell us what happened and why.
