I hope this isn't too commercial a link for Grogheads; I looked through the forum listings and tried to find the most appropriate spot to put it. I think - or hope - it would be of interest to one or two people, but I know that blatant commercials or ads can rub people the wrong way so apologies in advance if this is not appropriate here.

I wanted to mention that Issue 3 of Tactical Wargamer's Journal has just been released. If you are not familiar with TWJ, you can read more at this link:

There are some review snippets and links to the publisher's page where you can purchase copies. Issue 1 is in print form only (but see below) and Issue 2 and Issue 3 are both in either print or electronic form.

As alluded to above, Issue 1 will be available in electronic form shortly as well. eBooks were not an option when the series first went into print, so I didn't want to start selling electronic copies and alienating those who had already purchased the hard copies. I believe I've found a solution to that. The electronic copy will have additional content, so anyone who owns the print copy can obtain the additional material by either also purchasing an electronic copy, or a supplement to the print version, also in hard copy.



This may be a bad time to be advertising book for sale, but the links are always active.

Thanks very much. As you noted, that goes to my site, also. The definition is different, deliberately, as I've chosen to focus narrowly in order to be able to give better coverage. That doesn't mean that air combat games or naval combat, or games about 19th Century ground combat aren't interesting, just that I've chosen to more narrowly define my own focus in order to specialize. Those who want to read about Civil War games, air-to-air combat simulators, etc., can find resources devoted to those topics elsewhere - such as this very site, I am sure.

I appreciate the mention and am glad you found the list of use. I wish I had more time to devote to it.
