Sounds like they're saying that you patch over your Steam install manually if you want the latest before the auto update is available.

I know some people think the patching process is simple, but I think muscle memory is kicking in here.  The Steam thing just adds that one more level of fog to an already headache worthy patching process.

is it possible to register a (i think it was Gamersgate?) version and some DLC from there at Steam ? ...and from now on Steam does the updates.... well, of course  for the price that the Steam-patches maybe will get a few days / weeks later released? OS patching was a PIA as far as i remeber

So...if I purchase the Steam version, it won't auto update and I have to manually install? One of the advantages of STEAM is that I don't have to screw with patches

LOL...I believe this may have been asked before (maybe in another thread?)  and I am still awaiting a definitive answer!

I'm willing to repurchase everything of Steam patching is automatic and up to date. I have no drive to reinstall this thing in my new computer.

I went ahead and purchased  the steam version. Unfortunately it does not have any of the DLC's but at least I can play the bass game without ripping my hair out trying to patch and reinstall everything in order. I mean seriously why is a simple executable that difficult?  double-click, patch installs itself off you go!

In the end, it's always worth it as GTOP is a great game

Andrey released another small video showing smoke grenades used by infantry.
Artillery,tanks and mortars were the only units that could generate smoke before.
Finally,been waiting on these for awhile. :D

Andrey still hasn't given a release date yet. >:(

It will be a new game with a new engine and have it's own DLCs.
From what I understand it will not be compatible with GTOS, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of the things in GTOS will be ported over to Mius Front.

So far I've only heard Andrey mention 2 DLCs for Mius Front.
Nomanhan-Mongolia 1939 (Soviet/Japanese) and a summer DLC about a battle near Kharkov in 1943 featuring the Panther tank and the GrossDeutschland division and maybe a summer 1942 battle near Leningrad called Sinyavino if they can get the map issues they are having fixed.

2) Added restriction on the minimum distance for the crews leaving vehicles.
3) The level of command is not reduced if all units can't execute the order.
4) Adjusted ammunition layout for T-34 and OT-34 tanks.
5) Fixed a bug with the display for accum damage in statistics.
6)BS-41 bullets added in all ATR team's ammo crates (under the threat of a tank attack).
7) Several checks for algorithm of calculating the weights of squares to determine victory/lose in tactical combat.

Been awhile since I played GT:OS.

Think I may load it all up on my newest computer after this patch comes out of beta.  :D
