Seems like this goes back to the Great Biometrics Crusade of 2008.  The government is trying to create ways to put everyone into the potential pool of 'guilty parties' and forcing people to rule themselves out, rather than starting with reasons for suspicion and ruling people in.

Agreed. Been happening for too long.

I just assume if it's electronic someone has looked at it. Doesn't make it right...or smart. Just means we need to remember what a nation ruled by law should return to.

At the risk of being monitored by the thought police I must say that our freedoms and privacy are being stripped away at an alarming rate.  The sad thing is the masses are letting it happen.  We are all f'kd. 

The other week I removed the Kinnect device from my Xbox because I read that MS uses the camera to spy on your house and see what you have inside.  Then they cater to you by targeting ads based on what they notice in your home. 

All of this sounds like something far fetched but I whole heartedly believe it.  Do you not think that it is every tyrants greatest desire to know and control every single person on the planet?  1984 is not coming folks, it's here and taking root day by day.

to battle that a new fashion will spring up soon  ;D ... it will probably be called pussy riot style started by some colledge pll, who always ware a funny fancy pussy riot hood, when moving out in the open or in public places 
(the same way its started that nowadays the Young sport those indoor-pointed-cap fashion inside buildings)

Government will not like it and counter it with a law, to always show face, but then all ppl take on a belief that force face hiding (i guess you know which) and then, -its of course-, protected by religious rights, will be first time PC works in the right direction  ;)

also there will be a face-shield extention screen for the upcoming google glasses, which is like a mirror shade, you can look out but not in .... you all have seen it in some music vidoes, worn by back ground dancers here and there
cant remeber, its was either older LadyGaga or Kylie Minogue  stuff or something even from the 80ties... it looks like welding shield but way more fancy in the videos ... and will later also as clip-on to the glasses
