And given the relative lack of preparedness that most Americans have for even short-term emergencies, it could be a huge anarchical challenge.

Time to go get the solar panels and rain barrels on the house, and make sure there's always a good supply of batteries on hand.  And maybe it's time to finally get to work on the bug-out cabin I've been working on in my head - summer vacations in the mountains and an emergency location if you need one.

Really?!? Like no one else on the planet has transformers that could get to the US in a shorter period that 18 months? What a load of crap....  :P
