D&D game, 1-5 players. This is quite a fun game. It can be played well solitaire, or as a small group.

This has the flavor of a classic dungeons and dragon game, but without much of the complexity. I like this, as it is a tile placement game, with a fair amount of re-playability.

I've found I like the next game in the series more, it seems a little less punishing. I don't really get a dungeon crawl kind of feel from it though, and I'm not keen on some of the ways they've tried to simplify things. Still I have this one and Legend of Drizzt so between the two I have a ton of cool components for running my own dungeon crawl types games.

Me neither.  I suppose it's because they're scenario-based so swaths of them are prefab'd.   I guess it's trying to have the D&D flavor.. but maybe too much for a boardgame?  I like dungeon crawlers a lot so it was mixed feeling for me, too, when I picked up Castle Ravenloft.  It's still fun.

Yeah it feels more like a co-operative boardgame puzzle, it was a dissapointment at first but I've grown to like it for what it is.

I'm mostly interested in using all the minis and tiles for something else though. I'm currently reading through Warrior  Heroes: Legends from Two Hour Wargames, and I think I might be able to use that for a solo dungeon crawl style game. Possibly with some other random tables and things.

Or possibly the Dungeon Plugin rules, though they use a specific tileset so it might not work:

I actually like the dungeon tile set. I can see a LOT of utility in this...even cross genre. Warhammer orcs spawning in? Setting up a battlefield in an urban setting? Lots of potential here.
