Tis Friday after a long and shitty week, and im straight back out tomorrow for Farnborough Air Show
but tonight im going to try and squeeze in some Napoleon Total War because i feel like unleashing 1000s of musket wielding troops on Northern Europe thats why
I expect to finish my latest game of Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes playing as the Dead. Very different experience from other factions and a great DLC.
I LOVE that song!!
I reckon I'll be doing more Rome II
Possibly fire up a bit of Elite:Dangerous
Take Bioshock:Infinite out for a spin - try and get closer to the end
ArmA III needs a go too
Also as I've got over my "Singapore" block in F1 2013, I think I might practice the next race - Korea
I also want to do some more work on my 1/35 Challenger II which I haven't touched in months. IIRC the painting is done - I've just got to do weathering...always something I drag my feet with as I'm a HUGE novice at it still.
It's going to be a legendary weekend for me, what with spending more time with the beta versions of Endless Legend and Legends of Eisenwald. Ground Pounders is supposed to come out of early Access and be officially released today. I haven't paid much attention to it over the last few months, so I'm curious to see how much the final version has improved.
O so many good games. But my back log is deep. Will finally restart a PBEM match with Shelldrake in the Commander - The Great War Verdun scenario. Will also fire up Sid Meier's Ace Patrol (WWI) and Over Flanders Fields. If I feel frisky I may start a game of Rise of Legends also.
Picked up Endless Space Gold for under $10.00 (on sale and minus 20% off coupon) on Gamersgate yesterday...looking forward to trying it out today and over the weekend.
Going old school this weekend. Board gaming with some buddies.

Let us know what you think of it. I was thinking of doing the same before the weekend deal is over.
Doing some flights in FSX, then who knows what.......
Fallen Enchantress
FM 14
Xenonauts
ARMA II
Euro Truck II
EU IV
Crusader Kings
OOTP 15
Last Federation
Silent Hunter
and others I probably will not play.........
PE
Don't have a lot of time for gaming, but a few I hope to get to....
- Sniper Elite 3
- Divinity: Original Sin
and I will most likely be picking up the Elite Dangerous game this weekend (don't yell at me) :) Just have read to many good things and based on what the game was in my youth, I have a lot of hope for it.

Does that include Disharmony? If so that's a great price.
I've been wanting to try
Making History: The Great War so I might play that. I also kind of want to play some more fantasy 4x but which one?? And I will continue my Civ4 WWI game.
Flying home on the red eye from California today.... :P
Not sure what gaming I'll do this weekend.... maybe I'll spend some more time building my new gaming table.

Yes, it includes Disharmony. The sale price is $11.90...I got 20% off using a coupon they had emailed me a week or so ago so it came in under $10.00.

Similarly here with a bit of WitpAE PBEM and Iron and Oak Boardgaming.
I picked-up Neverwinter Nights Gold from GOG when it was on sale and have been playing the Mysteries of Westgate add-on. Nothing like party-based RPG-ing for a good time. So far the biggest mystery in Westgate is why is it ALWAYS night and raining. And I may beat-up some Barbarians in Rome 2. "Be like a spear"... in your ass. :knuppel2:
Ouch.
BBMike...are you playing a Civ IV WWI mod or just a scenrio you put together?

It's the one Jon Shafer (http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=10523.0) did for Civ IV.
:D well look at that...I need to find a Civ V version.
Mostly going to play:
Omerta: city of Gangsters
and the usual pbem games.
I'm knee deep in a dark "Game of Thrones" mood so playing
Crusader kings 2
Divinity: original sin
Endless legend
Dominions 4.
Also reading "Storm of Swords" after the season ended.
I love when I get in a specific gaming mood
Finally got a couple of reviews done...have more to do but plan on just playin' of reviewable games.
D-Day Omaha Beach
Picket Duty
possibly Cruel Necessity
Also bought Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 for six bucks on Steam a few days back; that game is actually pretty enjoyable.
Some Blood Bowl, for sure. Hope to get my Orc team further. Might try a Goblin or Halfling team because I'd like to play BB where I really don't give a damn about my players.
Also bought Risen this past weekend and had a decent time playing through the first few minutes - might revisit that. And then I did end up pulling the trigger two weeks ago on the Might & Magic 6-pack from GOG, and got F-117 to boot. Hope to give a stealth fighter a spin or two.
The Might & Magic 6-pack is hit or miss:
Might & Magic I: managed to play a few rounds of fight-inn/rest-fight-repeat, but after about 10 or so rounds of that the game stopped refreshing my character's hit points and spell points, and they're all in Good condition with no poisoning, so I have no idea what to do; my spellcasters are now useless and two of my fighters have 1 HP; not even the temple can help, so it must be a bug. I'd hate to start over and get deeper in the game and have it pull this again.
Might & Magic II: started, got my ass kicked thoroughly within 5 minutes because all I have are clubs and no money. Exited.
Might & Magic III: started, got my ass kicked thoroughly within 5 minutes because I suck, exited.
Might & Magic IV/V: started, had some fun clearing the Dwarf mines, found lots of little programmer in-jokes that make me miss the good ol' days. Ended up getting killed by a roving patch of undead, long after my last save point. Exited.
Might & Magic VI: haven't played yet.
For those of you who can't make-up your mind, Goat Simulator is 40% off at Steam. Just saying.
Over the last week, I have been playing -- and most likely will continue to be playing -- some combination of the following:
Armada 2526 Supernova
Civilization V
Crusader Kings 2
Distant Worlds: Universe
Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes
Rome II
Dota 2 of course. Although since The International 2014 is currently happening I'll probably spend more time watching than playing.
Borderlands 2 has had me consumed with building a new character, as I push near 200 game hours.
Will also play some Insurgency, for my tactical fix.
I also started season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. Frack, that's amazing! I'm not even into sci-fi, but this has been one of the best plots I've ever seen.
Going to be 90+ here for the next week, which is too hot to go out and do anything. I'll be playing some combination of the following
Xenonauts: Been playing it almost exclusively for the last week and a half. After some experimentation I found a combo of aircraft that can successfully shoot down an alien corvette with fighter escort. So for the time being unless I get caught with my fighters away my bases should be safe from further attack.
Skyrim: Restarted my Breton battlemage using the random alternate start mod. Took me a few restarts to get a spawn that didn't kill me.
Command: With the release of the v1.04 patch, I've decided its time to force myself to finish some of the half completed scenarios I have. I culled the list down last night and deleted ~10-15 of them. Going to start off by starting another new scenario. Going to kick off my RSR based series with one featuring the hypothetical F-19 Ghostrider (Frisbee) from RSR that was added in the new patch.
Distant Worlds Universe: Continue my Kiadian campaign. Starting to look down the barrel of a severe resource shortage if I don't get mining bases up and running soon.
Divinity OS: After my first game ended with be feeling like I was banging my head against a brick wall, I deleted it from my HD. After I cooled down I re-installed and restarted with a Ranger/Wizard combination. Haven't played very much but so far its going a little better.
I may pick up AGEODs ACW2 from Matrix's deal of the week. Been on the fence with it for awhile but I think I'm finally going to pull the trigger.

Ugh, the worst. Hope you can sleep on planes. I can't.
World War One Gold for sure. All the hoopla over the "centennial" edition got me back to playing this, after years. Love this game, quirks, warts and all.
Doing a taste test between
Forge of Freedom and
Ageod's Civil War II. There's incredible depth and novelty to FoF, but it really shows its age when put next to ACW2...

VI is the best of the bundle....if you haven't played it before here's a tip....in the early game, survival depends on getting bows for your entire party as soon as possible. In the mid and late game is all about powerful magic and not might.
^ Yeah, that's kind of weird...IV lets you do that too but I only figured it out on accident. I only had a bow on my Ranger and a sling on my Sorcerer, then I noticed it let me equip a melee and a ranged weapon...then I put bows into everyone's hands, and little gets close enough to me to do damage. Kind of cool hearing six 'twangs' and thok-thok-thok-thok-thok-thok.
Thanks for the tips, I might try VI this weekend just to see. I didn't like I, II, or III, for spending so much time trying to get decent stat rolls, then having something or other go wrong when I finally got into it.
Probably going to wade a bit deeper into Making History The Great War, try out the updated demo for Battleplan ACW and play around with my latest impulse buy Habitat (http://store.steampowered.com/app/299340/) (which I found out after buying that it does not yet have a Save feature and features from previous demo videos have been removed, but are supposed to be brought back ???)
Dominions 4.
I just started my third game, played for about 30 turns, and looked at the graphs.
....aaand I'm getting my ass kicked. Third from last in total army strength, six from last (out of 16) in total provinces, middle of the pack for research and revenue.
Apparently slow and steady isn't going to work for me...but attacking provinces with less than a true Alpha stack leads to dead armies. Gotta find the middle ground here.
I SUCK at these kind of games!

I will never, ever get the hang of this game, but I'm damned if I'm not having fun playing it! The strategies are just too intricate and systems too intertwined for me to ever be any good at it, unless it was literally my day job. Of course, that says more about me than the game. This is all testament to what an incredible achievement it is.

I can consistently beat Dominions 3 with several factions (T'Chien; Ermor; the Fire faction). I cannot beat it with others. You have to find both a Pretender build and a faction that you can handle. The wrong Pretender build with a faction is just deadly. T'Chien is the only faction that I have mastered which has a highly flexible development plan. The other factions I have played have a specific way of play against the AI that is pretty consistent from game to game.
How you set the game parameters also makes a big difference. Select high initial province defense for independent provinces and your growth rate will be very slow.
You also have to be very flexible in your strategy depending on the random opponents that you get. You also have to reprogram your spell and troop orders when you attack different groups. Scouts are essential.
It took quite a bit of study, thought and reading before I figured out how to beat the AI. Once I figured it out for one faction, I could start seeing how to do it for other factions. I played T'Chien a lot just to figure out the magic system which is a game in and of itself.
I'm playing Fallen Enchantress. If I get time I'll write a review.

You don't roll stats in VI. Depending on class choice you get a certain number of points in each skill. Then you have a pool of 50 (if I remember correctly??) points to put wherever you want.
But it's so satisfying when you finally put together an army, strategy and magic to beat an enemy army that has been giving you fits
It looks like World Cup Fever has struck and I'll be continuing an FM14 save. I noticed OOTP15 is on sale for 50% off. It looks like I'll be saying goodbye to OOTP 12.
Also, on my recommendation, a friend at work picked up Warlock. He's already hooked and asking about playing multi-player. ;D

Rome II
Combat Mission:Shock Force
OOTP 15
Not alot of gaming though - spent most of my gaming time watching videos on pre-shading, painting and weathering model kits
