I know in my mind that I'm just going to end up getting squished 5 seconds in by an AT-AT driven by some zit-faced punk with a 10 hour a day playing habit but I still can't wait.
Looks fantastic, any hope for some single player content even if just against mindless bots?
Holy sweet GPU upgrade incoming!

Also the STG44 and Sten guns.
I hope they do some tweaks to accuracy. I get that these are blasters, not guns, but I do like one's accuracy to go down when on the run and improve when crouched. Based on the look of the recital, it seems that it was consistently accurate regardless of motion, which tends to lead to arcade like bunny hop fighting. With all the jetpacks that seem to be showing, that could get a bit crazy.
Also, interesting that there's no apparent ammo. I guess that makes sense from a Star Wars perspective. Hard to run out of ammo in these kinds of games anyway.
I also like that missile launchers seem to be pickups rather than automatic class weapon. I never liked the way Battlefront 2 could devolve into rocket wars. Honestly, with these kinds of games, the less explosives the better.

Indeed not. An astute observation there, bro.
I'm on my A-game today
Ill be the only one to poop on this I guess. While the visuals are impressive, it looks just like Call of Duty in a Star Wars skin. I guess if that's your thing, this game will be up your alley. I couldn't imagine enjoying the game much after the graphics high was over in 45 minutes. I suppose if it turns out that the game has more to it than ganking people with your SMG... er, I mean blaster, I might consider it.
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Star Wars geek. I just am tired of games that are visually impressive with gameplay that is less than impressive. I think it will just be a cash grab on an IP were people just don't exercise normal common sense or restraint. Anyway, it will have to be a good game to break my 7 year boycott of EA.

Actually, it's more like Battlefield with a Star Wars skin, since all of the vehicles and aircraft can also be driven/flown by players.
Since I'm a BF fan, I'm probably all-in on this as well.

What Arctic said. This looks nothing like call of duty. It's much more akin to the battlefield series. That being said, if those kind of shooters aren't your thing, no amount of Star Wars fluff will make you like it.
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'm making you go to our Twitter page to watch the video. It's worth it. Trust me.
I dunno. Something about the movement seems off. It's just not properly fluid. It seems like there's no sense of mass or inertia to the ships. They just instantly snap to their new heading and it looks like they are limited to one of eight directional input angles. Up, up-right, right, down-right etc.
I seriously didn't know we had a twitter page and I'm one of the owners.
I don't care what game they've slapped a Star Wars skin on. If it's half as cool as it looks in the video, count me in.
I know some of those combat action shots looked freaking bad ass.
Blowing up AT-ATs never gets old. Trust me, I've done it a few million times.
Is there a web resource somewhere that compares the various Republic/Rebel and Imperial craft as to their strengths and weaknesses and how each is best used in battle?
Rebels:
A-Wing. Very fast, very maneuverable. Weak hull, weak shields, somewhat weak firepower from lasers (has concussion missiles in some games, not in others). Fly it like you'd fly a Spitfire. Keep turning and extend if you get into trouble.
B-Wing. Slow and poor maneuverability. Decent hull. Strong shields. Awesome firepower with lasers, ion cannons, and torpedoes. Fly it like you'd fly an SBD Dauntless or a TBF Avenger. Use it to go after big targets and rely on your escort for fighter cover.
X-Wing. Good speed. Good maneuverability. Good hull. weak shields. Good firepower from lasers and torpedoes. Fly it like a robust dogfighter. Think P-47, Tempest, F4U Corsair, etc.
Y-Wing. Fairly slow and not very maneuverable (but better than the B-Wing). Good hull, decent shields. Mediocre firepower from lasers. Has torpedoes (and sometimes missiles in some games), and a turret with blasters or ion cannons. Fly it like a ground attack aircraft. Think A-20, Typhoon, Bf 110.
Imperials:
TIE Fighter. Good speed, good maneuverability. Terrible hull. No shields. mediocre firepower. Fly it like a Zero. Keep moving and kiss your ass goodbye if you get hit.
TIE Interceptor. Very fast, good maneuverability. Weak hull. No shields. Good firepower. Fly it like an FW 190 with a glass jaw. Be aggressive but use your turning ability to get out of the way if on the defensive.
TIE Advanced. Good speed, decent maneuverability. Decent hull, mediocre shields. Mediocre firepower. Fly it like a P-38. It's not really great at anything but it can stand a bit more punishment than the other Imperial fighters.
TIE Bomber. Poor speed, poor maneuverability. Decent hull. No shields. Weak guns, good bombs, torps, etc. Fly it like a Betty or a Do217. Try to sneak in and hit the enemy's big stuff while your escort keeps the fighters busy.
You got that from playing Star Wars X-wing didn't you?
That and all the old LucasArts games like X-Wing: Alliance as well as from the old West End Games Star Wars RPG and the accompanying board game, Star Warriors.
Thanks SDR.

One issue is increased ping. If you have the ability to choose which server to join you can effectively minimize your ping. If it comes down to often having a 90+ms ping vs 40, that would be kind of a big deal for me.
The other big question people are having is how will friends/clanmates be able to play together. I don't think they have gone into specifics - they just kind of threw this out there (no server browser). Epic trolling really - go EA :)
I'm of the opinion that this will hamstring the game to some degree, almost no question it would be better with a server browser. A lot will depend on how many servers there are, what gameplay variations are allowed, etc.
Any restrictions on servers kills clan play; Cod was Killed the same way!!! so i haven't bought in years.

COD was killed? Tell that to the suits at Activision watching every year's release sell millions of copies.
People will complain about this, but history shows it's unlikely to actually affect the bottom line enough to really affect anything.
One question....why do they do this? I mean, does it somehow make it easier to develop, or cheaper to run their servers? Whats the incentive from the developer's perspective.

On one hand, it gives them a finer control over the gameplay users will experience. I doubt they care too much about this, however.
I suspect they (suits mostly) want to be able to deliver a product as close to identical as they can make it across all platforms. Hopefully VR will drive a nice big wedge between PC and consoles - at least until improvements in technology (truly) blur the distinction between the two.
Dedicated servers will be featured in game.
does that mean the browser is back?
I just read something that might prevent me from buying this game;
Even though there will be dedicated servers, a Dutch gaming site claims that the game will not allow you to choose a server from a list, but rather the game will choose one for you based on your level/greatness.
Now, I have a dedicated group of friends with varying skill levels. If that means we won't ever play together, EA won't get my money.

Right, but the dedicated server news seems to indicate that the above is not the case.
I need to brush up on the semantics here - surely all AAA games have dedicated servers, if it's not dedicated does that imply it's also running as game server for something else at the same time?
At first I mistook 'dedicated' for meaning a dedicated server application people could install on their machine.
But in this case it merely means that there is no direct multiplayer hosting in the game and everyone logs into a dedicated server run by EA (or sponsored hosts).
The system we had with Battlefield seems to be gone for SW Battlefront and instead of choosing a server you want to play on, there will be an automatic matchmaking system.
As long as this will include parties with friends I have no issue with it. If not, it will be a no-go.
I would never buy the game in the first place, but even fans of this type of game must look real hard at what options the game will provide. If there is only a thin single player layer and the multiplayer layer is restricted to EA hosted servers, then the life cycle of your purchase could be relatively short.
EA has no qualms about shutting down online services on older titles. If the game is completely dependent on EA server support, they could shut it down (and thus destroy the game) at any time they felt it to their advantage. I don't think its evil or devious, its just business- Lord Business!

This game is going to make them millions. I'm not concerned about the servers shutting down anytime soon.
I almost bought a preorder at Best Buy this weekend, but I held out knowing I still have 2 months to go.
Sounds like the beta will be public on October 17 and available to everyone whether you purchase or not...therefore I'll give it a try then and decide whether to order...although anything Star Wars is usually an automatic buy for me.
Steam says I have Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I'll stick to that.
Looks like beta will be from October 8 to the 12th
and confirmation theyve got dedicated servers, but not a server browser yet

October 8th, 12 P.M. (dunno what TZ) mine says.
The beta was supposed to open half an hour ago, and in fact the origin website states it's available, and yet whenever I try to launch it I am told it's not.
Seems we have a failure to communicate. :P (or more correctly the guys at origin that posted about it being available did not communicate with the guys responsible for clicking the launch button)
Seems to have be up now (and as of 30 mins ago).
I've just tried out the single player mission. God damn this is a nice looking game!
Yes...it looks spectacular. Wish the MP maps were also available in SP for the beta. Oh well...
I'm really looking for feedback on how things would go with 3 PC's on a LAN... bots, mission variety, co-op or versus. I dont want to spend $180 if we really cant enjoy it fully.
is it a GPU burner?
First impression. Looks good, runs smooth. I honestly got killed a lot just because I stood there and admired the view.
Game play wise, very meh. It'll help when I know what I'm doing, but so far it's a bit too frenetic for my taste.
Single player wave mode is awful. Very intensely boring.
Quote from: undercovergeek on October 08, 2015, 01:01:41 PM
is it a GPU burner?
not really - as mentioned, looks good and seems pretty optimized though I haven't tried out the frenetic MP.
The primary weapon variety looks like trash though. Blaster 1, Blaster 2, MG Blaster, etc + some sort of sniper rifle. There are jump packs and a couple grenade types, but kind of underwhelming. Anyone know how feature complete (wrt weapons) the beta is compared to release?
Second impression.
This is a console game. While running smoothly and very well optimized for my PC with max settings, everything else just feels like it was designed without PC control schemes in mind.
Flight is horrible. It's mouse and keyboard unless you have a game pad, and attacks are bound to number keys and special maneuvers are tied to the F keys. I haven't tried to rebind, so I don't know if it's possible. Trying to control throttle with W and S, steer slowly by constantly dragging my mouse over and over and actually accomplish anything is really difficult.
Control issues bleed over to the ground game too. You assign weapons and grenades to "card" slots, and the attacks are also bound to number keys. Again, I'm sure these can be rebound, haven't tried. Even rebound though, trying to use abilities and specials with four separate keys really feels like something only a gamepad can do cleanly.
I switched to my 12 button mouse and it helped a bit, although I lost the DPI of my G700s. I'll give it a try again with some of my G700 buttons rebound.
I can't imagine any rebinding fixing flight though.
Lots of hacks and cheats out there too. The banning was coming hot and heavy.
I'm going to try more and give it a fair shake, but right now I'm not regretting my decision not to preorder.

Just got back from multiplayer and I was going to post something along these lines. This doesn't even reach the Titanfall bar. It's dumbed-down console trash. Get drunk, plug in a controller, run the HDMI to your big screen or projector, usb dac --> stereo and you can enjoy all the mindless fun without the 20 fps. Or you can just get drunk and watch some old u-boat documentary.

Yeah. I was getting my butt handed to me at first. Then I stopped playing methodically and got a few rounds where I led in kills. Essentially I just quit trying to aim down the sights (it doesn't improve accuracy) and did a lot of frenetic run strafing, chucking grenades as soon as they were available. That served much much better.
Pretty much optimal for a drunken night on the PS4 with your controller.
Oh, and AT-AT combat is ridiculously unfun. On rails, inaccurate, and with a very short timer. The AT-AT is essentially just a temporary power up.

No, it hasn't. However, having played both prior Battlefront games and all the Battlefields, I feel like there is a much higher arcade element in what is offered so far than any of those titles.
I'm not actually saying it's bad or not fun. I've had some fun with it. I'm certainly no where nearly as negative as what's going on in the EA Battlefront forums. I haven't played nearly enough to really form a solid opinion. Right now I'm just noticing more I don't like than like.
My biggest complaints really boil down to my just not feeling comfortable with their control scheme decisions that included no PC consideration. I really wish they'd considered joystick support at least.

All fair criticisms.
I've had fun with it so far. I've maxed out to the Beta limit of level 5. I like how the unlocks system works, letting me decide what to spend my credits on (as opposed to BF4, where you just get random stuff a lot of the time). Credits are based on points. thus far, points are limited to basic stuff, but I suspect scoring options open up in the full game.
The bonuses you can get on map are pretty nice. Orbital strikes dropped in the right place at the right time are devastating. Ground turrets are in, AT-ST's are in, AT-AT turrets are in, fighters are in. Still objective based like the BF series, so that works.
The matchmaking is completely busted in the small map. I've found myself on the short end of 2 vs. 8 matches a bit too often. Works fine in the bigger Hoth battle, though.
Am I pre-ordering? No. I want to see how the final product opens up before I throw my bucks down. Am I having a lot of fun? Hell yes. It's pretty much what I expected.

Got a couple of matches in. Wow, total chaos.

To me, the game is what I expected, whether good or bad....you shoot a lot of things in a frantic world using Star Wars characters:) Didn't really expect much more....it certainly is very pretty to look at. My biggest concern right now is using a controller, which I like to do on these types of games nowadays....the movement and aiming seem extremely imprecise, even after messing with some of the settings....was very difficult to hit things, although I know using a controller is usually harder, never seen it this hard before. Maybe it gets refined before release.
Since it is Star Wars, will pick up at somepoint...won't be a pre order, but not sure whether day one or sometime during a future sale.
I just finished playing the Beta on PS4 for the first time. I'm still on the fence about this game but I must say I've never performed better in an FPS than I did in SW: Battlefront. Got 13 kills and 11 deaths and it was a frantic run and gun mess. Only played one multiplayer match but I'll try some more later on and see if I can keep up my beginners luck. Hahaha.
I can see this game providing a couple of weekends worth of fun then getting a little stale after a while. Might be worth picking up on sale but I'm still not convinced enough to make this a day one purchase.

You're not the only one. Not only myself, but a lot of game journalists and EA forumgoers are echoing the sentiment.
I do think it's kind of fun, but not for a AAA title's asking price. I saw a panel of Gamespot's FPS writers who all were saying the same thing. Some of them looked visibly pained by the Beta. One of them went so far to say that this is "not a game for FPS players." I get that Battlefront has always leaned more towards arcade than not, but it wasn't ever this far.
I think I'll buy it eventually, but absolutely not at intro price. If it were $24.99 on intro I might think differently.

Its EA and a Star Wars title, likely won't be $25 for a long time, unless it tanks:) Hopefully with the new Star Wars movie coming out and such, we'll see more SW games, not just these type of shooters but maybe some updated flight sims, rpg, etc.

I know. No Steam pretty much means I'll be steering clear of this for a long time.
I'm curious to see if this "beta" will backfire on EA. The pulse of the vocal gaming community (though negative responses always are sampled too high) hasn't been good from what I've seen. Gaming journalists, who typically shill for the AAA titles are even kind of sneering.
Of course who am I kidding, it'll sell like hotcakes on PS4 and Xbox 1, probably be a lot more fun on those platforms, and we won't see a bargain bin for a while.
Yep, the force will be strong with this one, based on the star wars theme alone.....it can be the worse game ever and still likely will make more money then other "better" games:)
....and yes, some day I will likely be an owner of it as well, regardless of what I may say:)
Well, release day is tomorrow....anyone looking to pick up right away? I'll eventually get it, but not sure I can justify full price since I only plan on using the single player modes...unless I find it real cheap somewhere:) I have a hard time saying no to star wars themed games....

Been tempted, but the Beta really lost me. I've not heard good things about those that got to play the 10 hour preview version either. Seems a growing consensus is that Walker Assault is really the only mode worth playing, and while it's good, and very fun, it gets repetitive and is not worth the high price tag.
I'd snap Battlefront up at $25. Not at the current asking price.
Well, GreenMan had a preorder discount...so I caved.
Of course, now it turns out they aren't handing out keys until release, so no pre-loading. And they're oversold, so possible no key until Thursday. >:(

Was going to get this earlier from GMG and found they were sold out and keys wouldn't be out for a couple days. Glad I did because at this point I am having a hard time justifying the high price tag, especially for repetitive gameplay.
Isn't Thursday the release day for Europe/world version? Wondering if they ended up getting those keys instead the ones released today. Still not a very good situation for those who pre ordered and expected to be playing today. Also saw some people discussing on qt3 as to whether gmg is really always selling legit keys, sounds like they were not allowed to sell ubi/wb keys but did and has called into question everything they sell. No idea if accurate and even if so, not overly surprised by it....I have never had an issue with any of my purchases.
Sounds like a tough day for gmg......
That beta did nothing for me. I thought this was going to be a sure thing when I saw the trailer, but after playing it...meh.
I've seen it at retail stores here.
Anyone actually tried it yet?
This is not a Battlefront game...this is a typical rip off of a beloved franchise.
Free Radical Design developed a real Battlefront 3 and it was done to 95%...then it got cancelled.
Even the only 95% ready game puts the new Battlefront crap to shame...you don't believe this? Check out if you might have loved to play this here:
^ :'(
I know....it hurts...let me repeat, this game was not only the dream come true for every SW fan...for every BF fan...it was almost ready to be published...but luckily we now have the EA/DICE version...empty shell of a boring game ready to be filled with microtransaction BS and overpriced DLC...good times...eh?
Who owns the SWBF3 code? Any chance someone can pick it up and complete/publish it?
EA seem to have this theory that removing all the fun from games makes for good gaming. It's called Simulated Fun. It's not the same as Real Fun, but they have spent millions trying to perfect Simulated Fun and it doesn't work yet. The execs shake their heads and wonder why Sims 4 and Sim Cities didn't work out.
SimCity was blown away by Cities: Skylines (which has Real Fun) and Sims 4 (which cut the open world and customize-everything feature) was upstaged by Sims 3 (which also has Real Fun). Sims 3 still outsells Sims 4.
Until they realize that dismembering a game and trying to sell it piece by piece, by putting profit over fun doesn't work, we will continue seeing these screw-ups.
I saw the hopping around footage and am reminded why I hate console gamers.
...is anyone playing the game and actually enjoying it?

Got a buddy who is. But he's also mad at anyone that dares criticize the game, one of those guys. Even if he didn't like it he wouldn't admit it.
The Metacritic score is surprisingly low for a AAA title from EA. User score is pretty abysmal, but Metacritic has always been an awful indicator on user response.
I watched a ton of lets play youtubes and it killed it for me. It just looks like BF4 in star wars dress up....not getting this until it's about 10 bucks.
I would really pay a boatload of cash for a star wars rpg game like elite dangerous...something like that where it's open world...that's what is going to be a hit with the star wars franchise.
Leave it to EA to kill another fanchise, BF hardline ? Hell, I doubt I will even get BF5. I see a corporate shake up coming in EA's future.
Elite Dangerous in the Star Wars universe would be awesome beyond words. EA really isn't about making games that are ground breaking, they are only concerned about making as much profit as possible with as little risk as possible. My hope is that Disney will show a little vision with the license and give more innovative developers a try.
My four year old is drooling over trailers, though. My wife was giving me funny looks, so I turned it off. Apparently gunning down Storm Troopers in a game is worse than gunning down Storm Troopers in movies.

I'm not defending EA, but doesn't that describe pretty much every for profit corporation on the planet? Nobody is in business for $hits and giggles. Its to make money and avoid loss.
It wasn't intended negatively (or at least much negativity). I am just glad there are still lots of developers out there who aren't so risk averse as EA. People just wonder why the most beautiful games tend to be the most casual and you don't see cool stuff like Star Wars Elite Dangerous.

I think its really a matter of time, energy and resources. I think if someone could truly make the all around perfect game, they would. But in order to ring all the bells and blow all the whistles, it may not be feasible from an economic standpoint of the developer and/or the publisher. I think the thing they don't realize is that true gamers would much rather prefer better game play over the better graphics. Its much easier to forgive weaker graphics if the gameplay is there. On the other hand, better graphics without gameplay can only get you so far.
Key arrived in my email today. It's downloading...and is apparently done enough to play. Once I'm done here, I'm heading in.
Looking forward to your impressions, Arctic.

Its a joke! I play console games too.
A friend of mine let me play his the game via the PS4's SharePlay option and I must say I think I will be getting this title after all. There is a ton of multiplayer options to try out including a fun tie fighter vs. x-wing dogfight mode. There is quite a few modes in single player missions as well.

Well, the 'it's downloading, but you can play!' part turned out to be playing as Darth Vader slaughtering Rebel scum. Tonight I finally got to play the real game.
So far, I dig it. I pretty much stuck to smaller maps to level up and spend credits on a bit of gear. The big maps seem to be Hoth (same as the Beta), Endor and...2 others I'm currently drawing a blank on. One is a fight around a big area containing a Jawa Sandcrawler.
Anyway, it works the same as the Beta did. You spend your credits (earned in game) as you want to purchase new Blasters, cosmetic changes or equipment cards. You have 3 card slots numbered 1, 2 or 3, and you bring each up by hitting that number key. You use them, then wait for them to recharge. My current cards are thermal detonators and a plasma cannon sniper rifle. Just like with the Battlefield series, you'll have an opportunity for vehicles on the bigger maps. Glowing blue 'tokens' can put you in an AT-ST, or an X-Wing, or the turret of an AT-AT for a period of time, or give you a Thermal Implosion grenade, or an Orbital Bombardment, or make you Emperor Palpatine, and so on.
The game is gorgeous. It plays smoothly (as opposed to BF4 at launch). It's fun. Is it the most detailed game in the world? No. But I have fun with it. Lots of different game modes, too.
There is a Season Pass available for a promised 4 expansions. If they're anything like the BF4 expansions, a couple will be awesome, one will be okay, and one will be kind of crap. Of course, you can also wait and buy them as they come.
Thanks for the impressions....did you have a chance to Play any single player modes? If a person only plays single player, worth it? And within single player, can you fully use vehicles such as dog fighting and such?
These games have never been very good at getting bang for your buck for sp people.
Mind you, I have not played this one, but if its SP is anything like the later BF games, the campaign is only a few hours long.

The overwhelming consensus is that sp is totally lacking and a big disappointment. You cannot use vehicles in the battle maps that you play against bots and the best game modes, walker assault and the one on endor are not available in sp.

Thanks and that sucks.....pretty much seals my fate with this game. Hoping some single player Star Wars games eventually get produced with all the new movies coming out.
Still thinking of getting the game even after watching this video, which by the way makes total sense.
Good video. Thanks for posting. He raises a lot of good points and swung me back over the line of no buy, but I'm so close to the edge....grrrrrrr!!!

I know what you mean. I'm so close to buying the game based on my friends recommendation but now after seeing this video I'm torn!
Whelp...I held out as long as I could. I just couldn't take it anymore. It kept calling out to me. I ended up buying it from instant games paying $46.
I think the reviews are all fairly accurate. It looks good, sounds good, nails Star Wars and plays very basic. However, one thing the reviewers seem to miss is that it is just a crapload of fun. It doesn't need any mode other than walker assault. I'm having fun with the sp battles. But mp walker assault is absolutely a riot to play. Tie fighters and xwings zooming about, at-ats and at-sts clanking across the field, and all your favorite infantry battling for control. It's really a good time. I play it mostly in relatively small spurts that leave me wanting more when I shut down. It's certainly light, and I'm not sure what kind of longevity it will have, but it's still good for a quick action fix.
You had me almost back on the fence to buy it...but thankfully when I went to instant-gaming for that price, all sold out:)
I broke down and got it too. Luckily I had a 25 dollar reward zone coupon at GameStop so I don't regret getting the game. There is a ton of MP and SP options to play and this title should keep me entertained for what it's worth. And to all those critics out there who keep comparing this to BF4 with a Star Wars skin I have only this to say. "You have no idea what you're talking about. This game is so not BF4 with a Star Wars skin". Haters gonna hate I guess.

Sorry man, absolutely no interest in SP with the game. :)
I will echo JH's love for Walker mode. Tons of fun. But I'm not digging Supremacy mode at all. It seems like once the initial points are captured, it's way too difficult to swing things at all. Whoever has 3 out of 5 will win the game, period. There isn't really enough width to the maps for flanking around and capping points very well. Hopefully that gets fixed.
Also, HOLY CRAP are Heroes overpowered. Okay, I understand Luke and Darth and Palpatine being nearly unstoppable killing machines. However, why are Han Solo, Leia and Boba Fett able to absorb bullets like some immortal version of Rambo?! It IS cool being able to spawn as an Honor Guard for Palpatine for Leia, though. Those dudes are armed to the teeth!
One other complaint : It's ridiculous that those who pre-ordered higher tiers than the standard edition get handed a pistol with one of the highest damage stats in the damn game. Infuriating. Sure, I can earn said pistol...at Level 22.
To the extent anyone was still playing this, or was on the fence, I read that an offline mode is being released on Thursday. You will be able to play skirmish games on all of the maps and in some of the most popular modes, such as, Walker Assault, against bots, or in split-screen coop.
I was thinking of picking this up too, but I heard all the negative reviews. Might pick this up on the cheap sometime.

Yeah. I played skirmish vs bots to death in the PS2 before the days of accessible broadband internet.
Is there any single player component besides going up against bots? Is there a campaign?

Yeah, except they insist on charging non-EU people with Euro (and include EU V.A.T)...
I'm not in the EU or the US and they aren't charging me in Euros.
EA sale is over. Back up to $39.99.
Tried to get my soon-to-be wife to watch the trailer (as she likes shooters but isn't much of a gamer....she says "I like to shoot at people and kill them"....uhm....should I be worried? :o)
Anywho.....she declined and at $40 I'm going to also.
Might re-visit it later when another sale pops up.
For those who have it, I'd love to hear how the single player game plays out.
Thanks

The latter. The game is lame for having barely any single player love.
I'm actually fine with the no singleplayer thing, at least on a Battlefront game.
I just never could get over the bad flight controls and feeling from the beta that I had pretty much seen all there was to see on the game after playing for about an hour.
My wife felt the same way. We were both really set on buying this and playing together, but the free beta pretty much did us in.
For anyone that has put a lot of time into it since then, is it worth revisiting now?
