I didn't get the DLC but when I logged on to STEAM tonight Skyrim is downloading a 1.5g update.  I looked but couldn't find what is in this update.  Anyone else know?

January 17 there was a client update. That's not today. I'll keep digging. Here are the release notes from the 17th:

- Added list of favorite and popular Guides to overlay
- Fixed layout of installation wizard when installing multiple apps.
- Fixed rare occurrence of prompting a user to accept the same Steam Subscriber Agreements multiple times.

Im not on the fence I just don't want to buy it until I have at least finish most of the quests in the  base game.

Found it!  Looks like it is just to an update to the free highres texture pack.

The Dragonborn DLC hit Steam yesterday, but today Bethesda released something possibly even more interesting: An update to the High Resolution Texture Pack that adds support for Dragonborn as well as the Hearthfire and Dawnguard DLC expansions.

The improved textures make the game look glorious, but the eye candy comes with a steep price tag. If you have the recommended system specs for Skyrim, you can just sit back down, mister, because that's not going to cut it. You'll need a bare minimum of a quad-core CPU, 4GB RAM and a DirectX 9.0c compatible video card with a minimum 1GB RAM, and odds are that if that's all you've got, you'll have at least a few struggles with performance.

On the upside, it's free, which is pretty solid. It's also exclusive to the PC, and more specifically to Steam, and it's a beefy beast: The update to the latest version of the Skyrim hi-res texture pack is a whopping 4.7 GB in size. Got time for that? Then get it at Steam.

I find the fence very comfortable right now. From here I can spot a Half-price sale when it comes around. Kind of like the bandits who wander close to the fire in the caves so you can pick them off with your Flawless Dwarven Bow.

Early buzz is that it is bigger and badder than Dawnguard but I haven't found any industry reviews yet. By badder I mean more gooder.
