I've got it installed.  I cannot speak to the actual content of the DLC as far as questline, new monsters, or new dungeons.  However I can say that of the 6 mods that I have installed 1 is definately broken by the new DLC.  It's my lock pick marker mod.  All of the other mods I've got installed ingredient, potion weight reduction, read books, container name, and potion name mods all seem to work fine.

I guess my point is that I know most of you all mod the game much more than I do, so I'd be hesistant to do the upgrade if you are attached to a particular set of mods that have not been declared Dragonborn compatible.

I just purchased and it's installing now.  I'm going to go do my old-man-shuffle PT and hopefully I'll be able to put some time in this evening.

I have a new level 4 Nord I've been playing, hopefully he's strong enough to start the Dragonborn quests.

Ok, bought and installed but apparently you have to be up to a certain point in the main quest before you can start it.  No big deal, but it might be a bit before I get there.  I would rather continue with my Level 5 guy than jump back in after all this time with my uber Level 30+ dude.

I'll let you guys know when I start the Dragonborn quest.  I'm on my way to High Hrothgar right now so I don't think I have too long to go before I'm far enough into the main quest...I'll check my guide.

Ahh the High Hrothgar quest.  The climb up that mountain the first time and then the view was just awesome.  I did it fairly early in the game and it really set the mood for me.

I checked by guide and I should be eligible for the Dragonborn questline by this weekend at the latest.  I'll keep you posted.

And so it begins...that didn't take long at all!   ;D

Rock Paper Shotgun liked it pretty good. And High Hrothgar is fantastic. I made plenty of desktop backgrounds going up there. Beauteous!

Ok, so my first foray into Solthsteim or however you say it was interesting.

The short version was that I got my ass kicked, repeatedly, so I've backtracked to Skyrim.

I posted on the Steam forums and I am WAY too low level for Dragonborn.  There are guys in the 35-50 level that are barely comfortable and my guy is only up to level 8 now.  I don't want to boot up my old guy so I'm going to have to wait until I get buffed up a bit more before I tackle Dragonborn some more.  It will be sitting there waiting for me.

On a separate note, I had my first run-in with a vampire while I was playing last night.  Nice to see my Dawnguard DLC kicking in, too.  So travelling at night just got a whole lot more interesting!

I'm trying to role-play a bit more this go around, trying to minimize my fast travel, wearing Skyrim-themed fur and banded armor, stuff like that.  I was going to try to play through with no magic, but I find myself gravitating to a Spellsword type character again.  Honestly, I don't know how to play any other way.

Well, I guess that's it.  I saw a preview of Dragonborn on Kokatu that was very favorable.  I like that the Morrowind music is in it, and the graphics are fantastic.  It sure would be nice to see all of Morrowind overhauled in the Skyrim engine.

Well I bought it and tried to fire it up earlier this afternoon. It brought my video card crashing to its knees begging to be devoured by dragons and failing miserably.

I'm hauling this thing over to best buy. Three time's a charm. There's a new gaming rig in my future.

Its already being done, Skywind. Hope it actually gets finished. I personally doubt it. However unlike previous remake mods, bethesda has yet to shut this one down.

I bought Dragonborne this morning. Haven't started it beyond the initial "introduction" as I walked out of the Riverwood Inn.

Edit: Found this for people who may be disappointed with dragon riding in the DLC.

Played 3-4 hours today. So far I'm enjoying it. I would suggest not doing it with a low level character. Its actually been a challenge for my level 33 mage. Really love the look of the new armors. Brings back a lot of memories from Morrowind. Story seems pretty cliche so far, but the fights have been fun.

Lydia in her new armor.

Anyone who played Morrowind will know what this is. Unfortunately it can't be used fore fast travel.

Red Mountain with a Telvannia Mushroom tower

Two power mad Dragonborne, that could be fun  ::)

Finished the DB main quest tonight. That last fight was one of the best I've had in the game. Finished it in around 12-14 hours, although I did concentrate almost solely on the main quest with only a little exploring. I think for anyone who is easily distracted in the TES games, might find the DB quests easier to do. Since almost everything is located within such a small area when compared to the main game, it makes it easier to focus. Got the new dragon riding shout but I've only done it once as part of the main quest. You don't get to directly control the dragon, it automatically flies around with you giving it orders to attack. You can cast spells while flying. I found being able to "lock" onto targets a much easier then horse combat. I'm looking forward to trying it back in Skyrim itself and using a dragon to get around.

Whether its worth $20, is up to you. I got my moneys worth, and I think I have at least another 3-4+ hours of side quests and exploring to do.

Some shots of my new robes.

Nice screenshots Kushan.  I'm just now starting to work my way through the Dawnguard dlc and will do Dragonborn next.  In spite of its flaws (and to me the biggest is the melee combat...the enemies dance and flit around with faster-than-light speed so I play a stealth/archer character) Skyrim remains the game I have enjoyed the most over the past few years.
