Looking pretty good!  I'm going to pre-order and get in on the alpha when it's released tomorrow.

Please let us know what you think once you get some time in game.  I am looking forward to the possibilities in ARMA III.

Damn, thats one beautiful looking game. ArmA 3 wasn't really on my radar because of how clunky the controls in ArmA 2. After watching the videos I think I might pre-order as well.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Arma 2 controls aren't clunky. Smooth as butter compared to Arma 1. Glad we get smoother movement in part 3

Hope they improve the ambient combat and sec ops module with more options.

considering that i will get ('collect' ;)) this title sooner or later anyway ...so why not now were it is cheaper
...and watch it grow... maybe even report some bugs in :)

with Steam, updates and mod install should be hassle-free too.

Because it will be much more cheaper in the future with a compilation pack.

Of course it will only come out a year after release.  Since it is in development,  3 will not be released for a while.   Depends if you can wait that long.

Yeah the disclaimer to yours and jarheads comment is I haven't clicked on the vids yet - must resist

Downloading now.  Anyone who can watch those two vids and STILL resist, is either a God amongst men, or just a cracked out fool.

...it will take 'rest of year' until full game, then several month for first Addons and then some time for a cheaper bundle, maybe at one of those famous Steam holiday / or Xmas 2014 sales...

the sandbox / editor (where most of the solo-play fun with the Arma series is located, IMHO) is included.

Downloading right now  ;D

...and will get the full game maybe short before Xmas 2013 and saved 20€ on it.

I am slightly dubious about buying into an Alpha

I bought into the BETA of rFactor2 - more than a year ago I think - and that game is still way off being ready from last I looked.

I was fully aware it was in BETA (obviously) and was more than willing to stump up the cash to help and to get early access - but I honestly didn't know it was going to take this long.

Alpha seems a very long time away given my experience with rFactor2.

I'm waiting since the change in Arma number is an indicator that I should get a new PC.
