We may have to form a mob and head to Barthheart's house to extract more information from him.

Kind of like a modern version of Pavlov's House!  ;D

Pavlov's House is a scenario in the game.  ;)

Bart, are you allowed to say when the new beta phase will be starting?

I don't know when so I can help there....

Sir Slash

Who you pointing at, Sgt. Baumann?
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

Thanks for the new screen! It's looking mighty sweet so far!

Hello:

Looks like a few hexes with stacks of 3 squads with a leader? What is the punishment in this game for that kind of bunching up? (In ASL all units took the effects of an effective shot; in things like Combat Mission a mortar attack would result in a lot of deaths in a bunched up stack in the open.)

Thanks,

Gerry

Yep, bunching up can be deadly. Any fire incoming to the hex can affect everyone in it.
Like ASL, though, having a stack can give you more fire power in one shot. So you have to weigh the risks/rewards.

We previously talked about no 2-floor buildings. Just wondering now are there hills?

Thanks,

Gerry

Yes there are multi-level hills.

SgtRock

Any plans for a demo of this?

Gerry

That's good news. But now I don't understand the problems with having multi-level buildings in. Wouldn't hills have similar LOS calculations as multi-level buildings? Good news about the hills though.

Gerry

P.S. How are the scenarios and campaigns? Thanks.

Yes there are multi-level hills.

Hills don't have the problems of having units in the same hex at different levels, ie up stairs - down stairs, of multi-level buildings.

The scenarios are just like the board game versions, tight well tested affairs that usually go down to the last turn, if not the last roll, to see who wins.
The campaigns are an interesting mix of varied scenarios, a little rpg'ing, and intersting gaming. They are fun to play. You feel for the loss of your units.

That is all good to hear, especially about the campaigns.
