I'm patiently waiting for MetalDog to finish his turn in Warlock.

somehow I have a hard time picturing that...  you know you're incessantly pacing wondering "where the f*** is that guy?! at his day job?"

It's been an entire week and the guy hasn't returned the turn. Sheesh.

I read these forums for months and all MD posts about is Warlock, Warlock, Warlock.

So I join a game with him and all I do is wait, wait, wait.

I'm starting to believe the rumors.

Maybe tonight if all the forces come together!

It's going to be at least one more night fellas.  The (future) Mrs. has invited me over tonight.  And the games we play are WAY better than Warlock ;)

In general, I've managed to keep a casualty rate of close to 5:1.  For instance, so far, I have lost approximately 60 KIA to their approximate 330 KIA.  Add in wounded/captured/missing figures, and the numbers increase even more in my favor.  However, I suffered a number of setbacks in late night/early morning combats that have stunned me, and may signal a turning tide.  I too lost several tanks over the course of these battles, which took place between the hours of 2300 and 0400.  My heaviest losses occurred due to ambushes.

I agree, in the pitch of night, I found it unusual that these guys were sitting out there just waiting for me and my units would not discover their locations until we were right in front of them and they had already launched their attacks, or worse, we had passed them and they were engaging us from the rear.

My plan is to try to stabilize my thrust in the east and attempt to reorganize, repair and refit, while I launch an aggressive attack in the South with newly released reserve forces.  The Southern reserve force is comparatively small, but I'll see what they can do...

From what I recall of playing his tank sim, where most of the stuff in this DLC came from, the western tanks that the Iranians sport may have better night vision equipment (if the Russkies had any at all) and perhaps it's also more widespread in their forces.

Congrats on future! I think  :o .. hmmm we're gonna have start up an MP without you.. all MP games I'm in have MD in them!.. You might have to do the same if I'm in all yours... Civ V anyone?

Thank you, gents.  She is the apple of my eye and she loves to play games!  Maybe not Warlock or Civ, but, I am sure I can talk her in to learning some board or card games.  And what more could a man really ask for?
