Thanks, that was about where I thought it'd be.  Ended up buying the CMFI/GL bundle from Battlefront, since I can't seem to get enough of that right now with CMBN/CW.

Won my first skirmish against the AI on WG:Airland Battle - it was all about the tanks - AI was on easy and it was 2000 points - im going to ramp it up to 3000 and try again

I don't think the AI uses much airpower or helos until you jack it up to Hard, if any at all.  Perhaps they've adjusted that in the last update or two but I don't recall seeing the AI use them on me much until that level.  So get comfortable with beating it on normal before going up another notch.

It may have changed in the patch - most of my casualties were to mi-8s but there were no airplanes seen

Perhaps it was just airstrikes that it didn't use much unless on Hard difficulty. 

I do seem to recall the AI sending out helos on occasion, at Normal.

So, between the paddling pool inflation, the wrong hose pipe connection spraying water all over the kitchen, the bbq-ing and setting fire to the dandelion patch, and the mass 'creatures of the night' invasion as all the house windows were open, i mainly managed:

1. WG:ALB - as mentioned above, first skirmish victory but felt a little souless as it was a points victory and it just ended mid-flow, ill change to domination or whatever it is
2. SoaSE - great old game with Huw, done much reading on it and am looking forward to carrying on with our campaign
3. XCOM - played the opening mission last night before bed - unbelievable, loved every minute of it - im going to like this

Ended up doing a LOT of Civ V this weekend. Friday and Saturday night, MP with Barth, Tent and Panzers East. Stophro joined for color commentary (doesn't have BNW, so didn't play).

Yesterday, I did something like 10 hours SP. Had the "One more turn bug". Lol surprised the missus didn't get upset, but she didn't so it was a good day!

I finished up the weekend with some Civ V BNW and Wargame Saturday night. Only got about an hour or two of SoaSE Trinity in yesterday.
