Looks like we made it through another week. Now, any large chunks of time we have that we aren't doing chores or cleaning up after the kids can be devoted to our own passions. (No, the Mrs. STILL has a headache). I will have some Civ IV BTS solo and MP. After that? Time will tell.

Playing around with TW:R2, since I won't be getting serious with it until I have the money to upgrade graphics in a couple of weeks. Also Dom 4 if released tomorrow as scheduled. If not, back to Civil War II

it was going to be Rome II, a look at Command and getting back to HOI AAR but im summoned to Prague

so im confined to reading what all your exploits will be whilst playing Football Manager Handheld - back with a vengeance next week though

Will try to make my rounds on these, but as usual will only get to about half.

Dominions 4 - Have started trying to learn and so far I like it a lot better than 3 (of the limited time I tried it.)

Endless Space - Just finished a game (stopped at the end as I would have won) and now I believe I will try a new race and start another game.

Euro Truck Sim II - Will do a quick run
FSX - Start prepping for my around the world flight

And the usual of...... a little of CK II and EU IV... new campaigns for both.... who know... have plenty more to look at.

I'm still waiting to hear some impressions of Civil War 2 from the Grogs. I just started the Troina campaign in CMFI. I look forward to playing as the Big Red One and hope the Germans don't leave me a Big Red Smear on the Sicilian landscape. And in Rome 2, I plan to leave red smears where the Ligurian Speed- Bumps over the Alps used to be.

Bearing in mind that I've not played LH anywhere near as much as I should've by now (Bison would be a better one to ask), I like it very well so far.

I don't know how it compares to vanilla FE -- much less the original Elemental -- as I've never played them. However, if you're looking for Civ set in a fantasy world, you could do a lot worse than pick up Legendary Heroes.

Will spend some time deciphering Command: Nava/Air Ops.

Any time left over will go to Command Ops' new expansion.

Oh, and I have an invite to learn Dust: Tactics (boardgame) tonight. Will see if I can squeeze that in.

Have a little bit of a vacation...off today and next Monday/Tuesday. In that time will be soldiering on in Rome II.

Saturday/Sunday will be dedicated to The Wife, celebrating our anniversary [5 weeks late] in Lake Placid, NY.

Married 11 years, together for 17!

Congrats Gus (I've been married 20 and together 25 - trust me - I don't know how she's managed it!)

I haven't played Rome II since I got it - I was reading all the issues and took a step back...then haven't gone back to it yet.

I will be playing a bit of Command:Modern Air/Naval Operations - maybe take my fight in The Falklands further than launching my Harriers. I still just feel like I'm fighting the interface at times and it has sucked enjoyment out of it for me...so please Dimitris hurry up with the patch.

I'll likely do a flight in Air Hauler to get my rep up and more Bioshock:Infinite (which I restarted because I was playing it without taking in the story)

I didn't get any of my Challenger II done last week, so I hope to get some done this weekend.

I'm trying to resist the pull of F1:2013. I promised myself I wouldn't buy it so didn't when it was going cheap...now the draw is more powerful even though it's a full £40!

More Command: Naval / Air Ops. Got a lot of work done on my first RSR inspired scenario last night. Two F-14 squadrons with OECM support provided by Prowlers vs 2 squadrons of MIG-29's based on Iceland. I wish the database viewer said when a particular weapon came into service. Had to do a lot of google searching to make sure I was using the right variant of the sidewinder and sparrow missiles. I know it would be a ton of work, but it would make things a little easier.

Any time not spent with Command will probably be spent with either Xenonauts or EUIV with the new patch.

heh, sorry about that - quick jaunt for a medical conference then back to see what consequences Rome declaring war on my my fledgling Carthage nation has...... theyd never even met me, i assume as Nef suggested a Rome declaration is hardcoded - we'll se what happens

First of all:

Congrats Gus on your 11th Wedding Anniversary!

Second:

Judge I highly recommend Rome II. I joined the party late and did not go through any problems the way many did on day one. If you're waiting for a good price on the game I can understand that however so was I. I bought the game at full price on a silly little whim and I have not regretted it at all. :)

Third:

Judge this one is for you as well. I have F1: 2012 and I'm horrible at it. I can't seem to stop my cars from spinning violently out of control in corners. It's either that or I jam on the breaks and cut real hard and the car keeps going straight right into a wall. If I can overcome this I might be able to get back into the game again. I play with manual transmission and no assists of any kind. Should I tone it down at the risk of giving up a little manliness?
