Hhhmmm, Steam said it was downloading a ~14MB update, but I think it downloaded more like 1.4GB.

I jumped in on early access just because I like MH2.  But not enough is working in MHTGW to really hold my interest yet.  At least by getting in now, I got a decent discount.

Thanks, we appreciate it!  Another update this week should make France playable.  Showed the game at PAX East and we were packed the entire weekend.  Lots of strategy gamers out there! 

One thing people really liked was how we tie rail to industrial development.  The higher the rail density, the more factories you can build in a city.  And until you build rail to an interior region (in Africa, for example) you can't extract resources.  This also makes rail a tempting target for an opponent trying to hamstring you by suddenly cutting off a region supplying vital resources.

People also liked the fact that, unlike MHII, building troops and building industry are separate.  We wanted to do that to more accurately model nations with high manpower and low levels of industry (like China, for example).  Those countries can now crank out lots of low-level infantry even without industry.
