I grabbed State Of Decay yesterday, but won't have time to play it until later this week. Couldn't pass it up at five bucks; it's been on my wishlist for months.

Is there a way of displaying speech as text on the screen? I've looked but can't see anything.

Hmm it's been a while but there should be a choice in the options menu to turn on subtitles IIRC.

I have to LOL about this a bit.

Here we all are, nickle and dimeing over whether we should spend $5 for some DLC or some game with 100 hours of play time to finish.

Meantime, I just took the whole family for mandatory fun at the Hawaii State Fair.  I say mandatory because if I didn't take everyone then I was going to be in the dog house and the bad guy.  I'll say that was about a $200 trip altogether...I spent more on funnel cake than I did on BG2 Enhanced Edition.

It just sort of puts things in perspective...when you think of it like that.  Heck, I dropped $30 in the little carnival game stuffed animal game things alone probably.  Almost broke my heart.

So yeah, that $40 or so I dropped on about 1000 hours worth of gaming during the Steam summer sale...no problem man.   ::)

Sure, but you may be looking at it differently than some of us.

At least you did something with the money you spent.  A sizable percentage of the PC games I've bought in the past year, because they were on sale so cheap, haven't even been played.  So I feel like I've just been tossing small amounts of money out the window.

Sure, I may plan on getting to them at some point but I've stopped purchasing them until that time is much closer.  Why spend five bucks on something I'm not even going to use? 

I'm glad we have so many options that provide such quandaries these days.  Easily affordable ones too.  However, I've had to put the brakes on because I'm already past the point of being able to put the proper amount of time into all these.  Gotta start being a bit more picky.

Tropico 5 Steam Special Edition
Not a sale item but bought during. Had to order new graphics card to run it - an Asus GeForce GT 610 2GB (DirectX 11), which is a step up from my GeForce 9800 GT 1 GB (DirectX 10) It will benefit my other games too. I think a new pc is order too at some point but I'm a freelancer so this is always a bit of a gamble.

Don't like it. Had Sins 1 and it didn't click with me. This is very similar. I may be wrong. Maybe it's the non-realistic systems.

i managed to stay clear from Rome 2  ...it was not easy, but i did it Hurra!   ;)

No Steam purchases for me either although i did pick up a copy of Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning at Best Buy for $5 today after missing the Steam sale price so I guess that sort of counts.

After reading a few reviews I passed on AoW3 even at 50% off because of concerns that the tactical AI is not up to snuff. The need for yet another game account for multiplayer doesn't impress me either. I will wait for some more patching and DLC before buying AoW3.

For now I will content myself for now with Shadow Magic and FE Legendary Heroes.

PE for the win..... well kind of.  I was able to hold off more temptation in the end and I am happy with my 2 purchases...  Now I am ready to finally sink a lot of time into Football Manager (14) and finally jump in with both feet!
