Question: Is Clara interfacing with the 'good' Dalek a bit of retconning back to 'Asylum of the Daleks'? Or has that earlier anomaly not been touched on yet?

yes but the scene I posted makes it happen.  that Clara, among thousands, was in that place and time to effect that moment in the DOctors life.

think of it as a retroactive occurrence and interaction.  the core of the show is about manipulating time after all.
