OK, my voucher's gone. :)

Thanks again Huw!

So now I have a free 2nd key if someone wants it. You'd also have to tell me how to transfer it to you....  :buck2:

I'd like it if you dont mind. The easiest way is a friend request then go to your inventory and i believe gift the game to the friend.

Sure budd, I just sent you a friend invite. When you accept it the game is yours.

Ok just played some of the campaign. I liked it the first time through and I'm gonna like it this time too.
This version ups the visual look and feel of the game.

Thanks again Huw. O0

The only thing its' missing, and was missing in the original as well, is to be able to rotate the map to get a view from different angles...

You're welcome Barthheart; I'm glad the coupon didn't go to waste. :)

Don't forget to post some videos!

How's the randomization of the maps?  One of the things I love about the original's campaign is how the maps are partially randomized so that it never gets stale.
"As I understand from your communication, Mr. Engle, you're on the brink of self-destruction. May I shake your hand? A brilliant idea! I speak as one who has destroyed himself a score of times.  I am, Mr. Engle, a veteran corpse. We are all corpses here! This rendezvous is one of the musical graveyards of the town. Caters to zombies hopping around with dead hearts and price tags for souls." - Angels Over Broadway

You were always able to do that, Arctic.  Perhaps that's why I consistently kicked your arse! :D

I don't mean changing your facing direction. I mean giving a peek direction and then a  movement direction. Your guy will peer off in the peek direction while still moving in the movement direction. So he spots any bad guys down that corridor and engages them, then continues moving. I don't remember that in the original.

There are lots of little tweaks like that here. You can now add commands to created pauses as well after ordering one, rather than having to try to figure it all out from beginning to end while issuing commands.

Anyway, if anyone wants my second copy, it's up for grabs. I should be around a bit more today to actually respond.  ;D

Yeah, it's called check in the original game, and good use of it is invaluable.

Well then, the new game does a much better job of actually teaching that this stuff is in the game.  :)

Huw the Poo

Fair point.  The original game does a poor job of teaching you to play.  I found using the unofficial wiki a must.

here some shots of the skirmish setup.
I like that you can preview the map before the game. Thats the maximum height and width.

It would be nice if as mentioned earlier to be able to rotate the map, and youtube integration would also be nice. The order system with not being able to rebind the keys isn't a deal breaker but it is not as easy as the original. I especially don't like having to have the order wheel open to be able to use the hotkeys. It loads the turns and replays faster for me than the original and its nice being able to click on a enemy and seeing their LOS, helps with planning for sure. You can even plot enemy moves and see how your plan works. That's a few early impressions, haven't tried multiplayer yet.

One more thing you might want to be prepared for is all the planning takes longer with the new control scheme, it needs to be streamlined.
