Gaming rules.  It just does.

CM:FI with Doug

DC: Case Blue with Doug...people, the "short" scenario is, well, not short.

PzC Normandy with Vance.  He, however, has been luxuriating on a whole 'nother kind of beach.

Naval Action grinding...the Victory remains well out of sight at the moment...

Commander: The Great War.   This game is really under appreciated.

R.U.S.E.:  Bought the DLC on the Steam sale and am starting to appreciate this one more than I had in the past.

Best of the New Year!

I haven't played much in the last ten days on account of being busy with family and friends for the holidays and being immersed in the book I was reading (A Mad Catastrophe by Geoffrey Wawro). But the holidays are done and I am done with the book and I'm moving back into some fantasy gaming with Dragon Age: Inquisition, Shadow of Mordor, Grim Dawn and AoW3.

I started to level a Crusader in Diablo 3.  I've had the character made for quite some time, but only got around to playing the game again today.

Not only is the DC: Case Blue short scenario not short, it's taking me a few hours to complete a turn! Fortunately I've had the time the past few days and am enjoying it immensely.

At the same time I have other PBEM games going on: Hieligerlee (HPS Renaissance), Sabugal (JTS Bonaparte's Peninsular War) and the Dennewitz Campaign (JTS Liepzig) with Chris Maiorana  - who does marvelous Command Ops scenarios - and Jim and I still have our Campaign Leipzig game that we're doing the AAR on in progress.

Solo I'm spending a lot of time with Scourge of War and HPS Antietam, specifically in both games the Battle of South Mountain. I'm also reading a book about Brandy Station, so that's probably next courtesy of SoW and JTS Gettysburg.

I'm mostly done with punching and trimming the counters for All is Lost Save Honour, and operational level boardgame about the campaigns of the Italian Wars of the Renaissance. Hope to get started with that later today or tomorrow. I just bought a big enough sheet of plexiglass to cover my gaming table and I'm eager to try it out.

When I need a break from wargaming I'm slowly working through Dragon Age: Inquisition - and I mean slowly, since I don't get tired of wargaming that frequently.

The holidays are great for my gaming habit. Too bad I have to concentrate on earning a living again in a few days!

OK.  So, I spent the $5 on Skyrim.  Just to see what I purchased, and to say that I gave it a shot, I loaded it up.  Now, two hours does not a game make, but, it looks like I may have found something here.  I'll let you know.  Going back in now.

Man alive, MD.  Skyrim is FANTASTIC!  I envy you being able to experience it for the first time.

This year my goal is to play a couple of games. Other than just work on the one we will release later in the year ourselves. I need to play a couple games myself to recharge the batteries and let the mind have a bit of a rest before giving you all one more reason to bring out your credit cards!!

MD you don't know the goodness of what lies ahead for you. I sank in about 200 hours in Skyrim and that's nothing compared to some of the other fellers around here. One of my favorite games of all time.

My resolution is to sit down, learn and play War in the West. I dropped the cash for that big ol' hardcover manual so I need to dive in

I enjoyed the Dawnguard DLC as well, MD.

I envy you MD! So much new to explore!

I've clocked around 700 hours in Skyrim and there are still things I haven't seen. Fair warning: after the freedom you have to do stuff in Skyrim, a lot of other RPGs feel pretty constrained.

Thanks guys.  Haven't had this much envy since I dated the hot girl in high school.
