Just saw a pop-up news blurb from the local news channel saying at least four are dead in that Paris kosher deli.

And it looks like the female terror suspect escaped with the hostages in the confusion.  >:(

This article discusses how the mainstream political parties in France are pretending that Islamic radicals are not behind this terror attack.

It also suggests that the far right wing political parties have the most to gain by simply speaking the truth about who was behind it.

There's something to be said about addressing the truth as it is, rather than how one thinks it might, maybe, possibly, could be.

What's the expression? "Consider what we think, what we know, and what we can prove." What happens when what you know disproves what you think, but you choose to ignore it?

There's a lesson in there somewhere...

"Public agreement with the FN's ideas has been rising steadily and this event will play into the party's anti-immigration, anti-Islam agenda."

Maybe that would not be true if "mainstream leaders" did not pretend that attacks by people shouting "Allah Akbar!" could have just as easily been carried out by a team of Zen Buddhists and disenchanted Unitarians.

Jews are fleeing terror-hit Paris because of growing anti-Semitism in France, one of Britain's most influential Jewish journalists said today.

Stephen Pollard, editor of the Jewish Chronicle, spoke out after an Islamic terrorist took six people hostage and held them captive in a Kosher supermarket in the French capital.

This afternoon police ordered all shops in a famous Jewish neighborhood in central Paris to close.
