Israel Buying F-35s

Israel is to purchase 14 F-35 stealth fighters from US aerospace giant Lockheed Martin at a cost of around $110 million each, the defence ministry said Sunday.

"The defence ministry will purchase an additional 14 F-35s for around $3 billion, each plane costing an average of $110 million," a ministry statement said.

Delivery is to take place by the end of 2016.

In theory the F-35 has a longer range than the F-16 but it would still need to refuel if they're planning on using these to hit Iran.

I cannot believe what I'm reading out of Europe.

I watched a documentary the other day that almost made me puke.  How people like Desmond Tutu are vilifying Israel and tacitly supporting others to castigate Jews; going so far as to equate supporters of Israel to Nazis, fully aware of the irony and intentionally making the comparison to be hurtful.

It is stunning and deeply upsetting.
