so I believe they are on the "take it" side of things.

Not me I'm on the "give it" side of things.   ;)

On a serious note, there is nothing but nothing I hate more on forums than to see threads deleted.  I don't think that's ever happened here, and I hope that it doesn't.

Has a thread even been locked here?  I'm not sure.  But I think we should just let things run their natural course.  If you are concerned about people seeing it, I recommend moving it to the home page.

We occasionally lock a thread to let tempers cool, but I don't recall a permanently locked thread. Not saying it's never happened but it is seldom that things get that far out of control.

Is this the place we can order some Fries and Mayo?
We like our mayo.

The forum is just a bunch of people with the same interest so are keen to share about new products on the market. No underhand stuff going on. Infact the game I work on I don't recommend at all as I know it still needs more work for it to fulfil it's potential, then I will recommend it, but only in passing...not some advertising campaign.. The next patch out though has the game at about 90% (It was only prob 40 to 50% on release)..and will be worth buying.

This was started kind of trollishly...drop a comment from someone with only a few posts that is kind of crazy, get people riled a little, and walk away.  Four pages and not a single reposnse from the OP to back up what he is saying.

Let this thread hang in the wind as an example of how to troll.

Or the new forum rule is only discuss games older than one year.

Agreed, this is the one site where people can openly discuss games, both likes and dislikes. I don't even visit those 'other' sites anymore, where if you say the wrong thing you start an open war (Even though we're wargamers, we don't like Forum Wars). I think of this site as a group who are addicted to the same vice and come here to vent their problems of addiction. We've become one big dysfunctional famly! That's why some threads here tend to go south very quickly due to craziness as opposed to forum battles!  :crazy2:

Sir Slash

Not just games. You can actually discuss almost anything in the various forum categories, serious or light. As well as crack a joke without being called a war criminal.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

And we're proud of that!  Thanks for all the kind words, fellas :)

At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but what really stuck out to me in the original poster's message was that he said the vast majority of the posts on the board were pushing the games.  I would love for the original poster to identify some specific posts where someone was really pushing hard for others to buy games.  Certainly people provide their impressions and recommendations, but I don't recall any posts that really tried to hard sale someone on a game and push them to buy.  We are just a very impulse oriented group and when we hear about a good game, we jump on it:)

Tuna

Yep, it's definitely not 'pushing' new games. We're all over the place, old games are discussed all the time. We just love games!

I dunno... That sounds suspiciously like something Hitler would've said...
