I've been having a tough time with gaming the past few weeks. Not much seems to hold my interest for long. I'm hoping AGEODs Thirty Years War may do the trick.

Otherwise PBEM JTS Waterloo with Cyrano and Ligny with another opponent. Finishing up board gaming Brienne in 1814 using OSG's La Patrie en Danger. Maybe break out one of my GBOH games.

I'll be listening to Metaldog go on and on about his epic fantasy football drafting skills and simultaneously actively encouraging the drafting of "ROMO! ROMO! ROMO!" 

Hopefully some Pools of Radiance and I'm considering picking up Ageod's Thirty Years War.

Otherwise it mowing the lawn, Stata and reading crying because you're the sucker that drafted Romo.

Fixed that for you.  Other than making myself a nuisance while BUILDING ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL TEAM, I will play some Civ IV BtS mp and some more of my CK 2 campaign as the King of Leon.  Speaking of which...

Trying to squeeze in some Vicky II - House Divided.

I'm thinking of trading my Steam version of ARMA 3.  I just don't have the time anymore to try and get into it, which is a shame.  It really looks like a nice piece of work.

I'm thinking of trading my Steam version of ARMA 3.  I just don't have the time anymore to try and get into it, which is a shame.  It really looks like a nice piece of work.

Played Crusader Kings 2 and finished up some scripts for my CMANO Hunting Submarines scenario last night. Going to be streaming CMANO today, after that the rest of my weekend will be a mix of more CMANO, CK2, and some World of Warships.

I didn't know either. Apparently you can trade with those you're friends with on Steam.

My bad - forget what I said.  Turns out you can only trade gifts that are in your Steam 'Inventory', not games in your Steam 'Library'.  If the game was purchased as a 'gift' for someone, then you could do trade it. I had some vague memory that Valve was going to introduce game trading at one point - I guess I was misinformed.

^ The URL gives all the info. I think I read in there too that it says if it's eligible for trade it has to be within 30 days of purchase. Seems there's too many hoops to make it convenient.

Then again I can see them not making this a universal thing, because then you could just have a 'game group' where each person buys one game and then plays it for X time period, then everyone trades it down the line and starts again. I dunno.

Well I realize I'm about 2 years late on this but I finally got around to spending some real time with Rome 2.  Man alive, they really did a nice job with this game. 

For Gus, cause I know you had asked, I'm running on ULTRA settings and the game is running smooth as a baby's bottom.  The Forest benchmark came it at an average 83 FPS so I think you'll be pleased with this computer's performance.

Woof, done for the night taking screenies to work on finishing my Armello Absolute Newbie DAR tomorrow (presumably).

Finally finished re-installing Arkham Knight this afternoon; can't say I see much overall improvement, even on my slightly aging beast of a Presence. The NVIDIA GeForce Experience settings correctly turned off everything but the 1080p  -- and even then the game warned me I might see a few hiccups! Which was true. Never mind turning on all the bling. I did turn off the film grain and the lens flare, neither of which affected the game but it looked better. Weirdly, so did turning off anti-aliasing -- something I discovered by accident when I turned down the resolution to 480 just to see if ANYTHING made the dynamic smoke effects run smoothing on the Batmobile (that mostly did, but still not completely). But I've got the Texture Filtering up to 16, and Level of Detail high (for distance rendering). Even the Normal bitmap eats too much gfx memory, much moreso again High, so that's off.

But with those two things on, and the resolution nicked down once to 1050, the game runs scary-smooth, and even with all the bling off things look great (and previously did, too), including water effects on the cape while gliding etc.

So no real improvements, for my rig anyway, other than to remind me I'll probably want to ask the Falcon crew what they'd recommend upgrading my gfx to after Christmas (and letting them talk me through installing it just to be safe and in warranty. Also asking whether they'd take any credit on a trade-in for the old card.)
