Watching both simultaneously it is easy to say that the new one is not as good as the original, but I say to give it time and the quality can definitely equal out.

the original dropped you right into the shit. the new one explains how the shit got so shitty. I can accept the difference and enjoy it. hopefully there will be no farm season.

I'm encouraged by the quality of the cast, especially Kim Dickens's character, her addict son and the barber. Plus episode 5 dumped a potentially intriguing player on us, a smooth operator with a pitchman's voice. Some good parts to work with here.

The wife hadn't seen the series yet, so I rewatched all five episodes with her. Ready for the season finale tonight, then on to The Walking Dead. This is heaven for lovers of dystopian fiction, like myself.

^I hear ya. I am six episodes in to Season 5 of the original series on Netflix and am hell bent on watching the whole season in time for next week's season 6 debut. HELL BENT!
