I have never been a sleeve guy for card games of any size and this one, yeesh.

Still, organizing all the decks, switching out the old for the updated, and generally getting everything orderly was a great deal of fun.  Planning a big game after the show I'm in wraps at the end of the month...

He's a Master Thespian.

HA!  Yeah, there's been a more than a few moments where my wife, upon being told I was in a staging of the RHS, was asked who I was portraying.  The relief on being told, "the Narrator", was palpable.  Or, as one of my friends put it, I'm the only person in the show who keeps his pants on throughout.

One of my notices:

I will observe we've sold out the run...something I'm particularly proud of.

What's bad, Nef, is that I use that Master Thespian (AaaaaaACTING!) line with a lot of my fellow actors and theater friends...and they DON'T get it.

Cyrano

@BC:  There's nobody in any cast I've ever been in that didn't understand, "LINE!!" spoken at great volume.

I believe it will prove eternal...or at least as long as theatre (-re) lasts.

LOL

Here's a link to a piece done on a short play I did a few years back...I'm the tall dork that was NOT prepared for the picture. I looked up and FLASH and it was done.

I still stay active in the local theater and do about four shows a year. Any more and I might as well do it full time, but I like having a roof over my head, food to eat, and games to play on my table.

Also, I did read for a Rocky Horror show at about that same time...Brad Majors. They had a last minute drop-out and I went in because why not. I sang it well but shortly after I was done a guy that REALLY looked the part came in for the part and I was perfectly happy to be not chosen. I don't know what the hell I was thinking...that would have been...um...quite an experience.

now its time for the real deal   :D

...starting with a little border action

(errata:
...i already removed one surplus action-marker from NPS Rosas, he as only 2 actions.
the +1-movement goes to the guy who actual wares the helemet ... that surplus at Dowell has to go back into the tray )

Let's see what i can do with just 27 resource points.
the idea is sniper Dowell don't move at all, Rosas close in to activate the objective then exfiltrate and the sniper picks the hostiles off from distance.... so the plan ;)

its just a first test, later i plan to try out what can be achieved with just a strong sniper-team of two
I will take longer and longer missions, with more resource points and Dowell will get more kit/skills and get combined with either a fast moving operator or a close combat specialist to cover his back as spotter, with kit adjusted to the demands of the objective

Received my box of Warfighter goodness today! Hopefully I can get the rules read and everything organized and sorted for the weekend.  :)

Received my copy on the 16th just as we were leaving for the annual Cottage Close Out (read: guys drinking weekend).
My buddy and I were the first to get to the cottage, so after some minor chores, light fire as cottage was 42F when we arrived, get pasta sauce started before too many beers, we dove right into a short Mid East quick patrol.... and got smoked.  :P Reset and try again only to get smoked worse!  :crazy2: OK, time to do some reading to make sure we have the rules correct.
Yep only minor errors.. we just suck!

Saturday we try again with 4 players in the Jungle going after a Drug lord. 2 hours of fun and we cleaned house. Everyone had a blast.

So is the Jungle that much easier or was it just the fact that we had 4 player hands of cards vs 2 hands in the first games?

Got home and setup a mission to play solo. Mid East again. 6 locations. Enemy boss location. 2 player hands plus a NPS plus a squaddie.
Won this game but it was closer than the jungle. Actually got some injuries, and had only 3 turns left.

I think the Mid East missions are tougher. But the biggest thing is having more barrels pointed down range. You need to suppress/kill the enemy as quickly as possible or more show up and then yer pooched.

Next up is Eastern Europe, which looks harder still.... T-72 and Hinds!  :o

Great game. Still owe Jim a punch to the face fer the price though....  :knuppel2:

Cyrano

I'm a man.  I'm 40 (plus).  I can bear it.

Absolutely the jungle is the starter level...although, especially with the adjusted point values in the expansions, even they can get a bit out of control if you're not paying attention.

Curious to know if DVG has plans to fill up the huge amount of space that's left over in the footlocker.

lolopedo

Hi all.

I recived yesterday my copy of the game and i have 2 questions:

1-On the location of the Jungle "Village" the Reinforce cost is: 0-3. Only the cards qith value 0 or 3 enter or its 0 to 3 (the cards qith value 1 or 2 enter too)?
2-Samaniego (NPS) have 2 wounds and he have only 1 action then. He spend his action to heal himself. He has then 2 actions on the same moment or only on the next turn?

Thnks

Barthheart

Welcome to GrogHeads!

1. All values from 0 to 3, ie. 0,1,2,3

2. Next run he'll have 2 actions again.
