This has occurred to me, believe it or not, but I have so much spaghetti in my tower and the power supply is already stretched pretty thin, so I'm nervous about adding another drive.

get an external USB 3.0 drive
  .... i once transfered alll Steam games to that drive and use the build- in HDDs for non-Steam titles
, if you really get  concerned about the in-game load time (streaming textures on the fly - not the load time of a new map) of a certain game in your Steam collection you can still swap it once to the faster drives to see if there is a difference ... i doubt there is one, besidegeneral  startup time and  level loading times

(the problems i had with Witcher3 and blamed it on the  usb drive where instead caused by a to slow  CPU where one core was stressed to 100%  after a patch , und problem solved with a tool that keeps the CPU burdon at 97%)

It's easy to be strong when your system is below the minimum specs.  I have seen footage of it running on a comparable rig, but it looked like crap.

I fired it up this morning to check it out and it defaulted me to Medium settings. I changed those to Ultra and I didn't see any issues. Admittedly, I didn't get outside the start place so I don't know what it's going to chug along like when I get out into the real environment.

Looked good though. One of the things I didn't like about Fallout 3 (though I understood it) was the very washed out look. Like I say - I understood why it was like that, I just didn't like it.

I still have not. But my pre purchase of AssCreed Syndicate releases in one week so there's that. Plus my Pict campaign in Attila TW is really rocking the house. I'm good.

Through dedication and willpower (in reality it was retirement and less disposable income) I got over the need to buy new releases at full price.  This game is a must buy, but not for another year when I'll get it at a fraction of the current price during one of the many annual sales. I've got plenty of game-backlog to keep me busy and entertained for many months to come.

I beat the game this morning. It was pretty good, but I'd like to see a little longer of a campaign.
