I know at least one other person got in on the 2nd Edition kickstarter & Doompocalypse expansion here.  And maybe others looking for it to be on shelves shortly afterward.

Got notification the KS is pretty much finished shipping from Poland.  Via USPS International Shipping for the US.   Probably see it in the first half of December.

Arctic Blast

Yep, I'm awaiting this as well. Sounds like Posthuman should be shipping soon. And I just received the Orleans Deluxe Edition and Burgle Bros. this past week. It's raining Kickstarters right now.

The Doomrock KS has evidently started showing up in Asia and Europe.. even Australia IIRC.

But word is that we probably won't see it in US until at least Dec 15th.

Posthuman may well show up first.

Arctic Blast

Ugh...according to today's update, January-February for Canadian orders because they're not even shipping until the 15th.

I'm pissed off, to be honest. Last month, he said everything would be shipped by the 24th of November. That's one Hell of a change. So what happened?  :knuppel2:

Says the stuff bound for the US only shipped earlier this week.. and probably not all of it.  :-\

I think they underestimated the amount of warehouse & shipping work it was going to require for all the KS orders.  From what I understand, their first KS had notably fewer orders to ship, plus they only sent individual ones to European locations.  Not overseas.

So it's obviously due to their logistical miscalculations.  There have been steady delays after they received the finished product from the printer, especially with overseas shipping, so the evidence points to that.

I was pretty excited months ago, when they reported that the production was ahead of schedule by about a month.  But they've lost that extra time since it's been back in their hands.  Despite getting ahead early on, it seems the tail end slowed delivery back down enough that we'll be lucky to see it in the original estimated delivery month.

That said, I don't think many KS delivery dates are ever achieved so they're probably still doing better than 95% of the other KS projects.  Plus they've been providing better feedback on delivery than most.   Can't ask for much better, despite chomping at the bit to get this after some delay. O0

I just don't understand where their numbers came from. Going off their earlier estimates of shipment and delivery, these guys seriously seemed to think that games shipped by boat would be delivered in 3-4 weeks in North America. And how did the shipping date just magically drop back by a month? This isn't even their first campaign, so they should have some basic idea of how this works by now.

Eh, I'm just tired of KS projects continuing to completely blow it on the logistical side of things. You've had years to learn from the campaigns and mistakes of others, boys. Figure it the Hell out, because this is getting old.

On another note, it looks like the street date for Posthuman was set to December 15th in the past few days.

I think it was estimated for a November release when I originally pre-ordered.  Then changed to Nov/Dec.  Just glad it's evolved into a firm date, even though all this stuff will probably show up at the same time, which will make my "To Be Played" stack grow larger.  ;D

To make matters worse, all the recent game sales have really piled up.  I got the pair of GMT sale games not long ago, and just now received Yashima and Mage Wars: Academy from the Amazon sale (actually delivered by postal service on a Sunday!  :o ) .  Luckily they're small boxes.

My game table has stacks of them building up.  I'm beginning to look like a real hoarder because I'm out of shelf space now.  C:-)

Arctic Blast

Yes, let us be positive!  ;D

Sounds like Posthuman should be here soon. And my latest order (Blood Rage, and new version of Catacombs with expansion) showed up today, so I've got that going on, too. Oh, and a nationwide leftovers math trade closes tonight...I scored 2 trades in the main one, and might get another couple in that.

I'm waiting for Boxing Day sales at Canadian online stores. There are usually some pretty nice deals, so I'm holding off on buying the more expensive games that I want (Exodus, Mage Knight, etc.) in case they end up discounted.  ;)

I actually just sold a ton of stuff off, so room is plentiful again. One poor bastard will be handing me $400 next weekend for the 2 shipping boxes filled with games that are now his.  :2funny:

I know that I need to sell a few games which didn't quite hit all the right spots for me.

But I AM a game hoarder.  Past denial stage.  Selling the first few would be quite a step.  ;D

It's a tough first step...but it was a rewarding one for me, at least. More money and more shelf space for games that I want, and all it costs me are games that I don't play or that have been replaced by others. I've also (FINALLY) become a lot choosier about what I'm buying in the first place.

Heads up...

The KS copies started arriving in the US today.  NY & Chicago reported so far, although I think there were three different shipments from Poland so it may yet be another 2 or 3 weeks for some of us.

Not sure whether the overseas USPS/Canadamail/Wotnot service requires signature or something on them.  Mine generally just drop it on my doorstep since I have a house in the 'Burbs without much in the way of post theft, but the NY tracker # shows they brought it back to the Post Office since nobody was at the door to take it.  FYI.

Received my KS set of core game + expansion today.

Had to sign for it from USPS.  So be aware that if you miss it, you'll need to pick it up at the post office within a couple weeks.

Also make sure you get the small pack of extra backer cards from within the bubble & shrink wrap packaging before tossing that stuff.

I posted a pic of the components in the "On The Table" thread in the Wargaming section.

Now to decide whether I should run a core game first, or just start off with the expansion rules included.  The latter is only a single-fold four pager of additional rules so it may not be too much more to implement.

Arctic Blast

According to my tracking # (glad they finally sent out a list with everyone's # on it), mine hasn't even arrived in the country yet. Since they shipped by sea, I'm not anticipating it any time soon.  :(

Their tracking list was F'd up.

My tracking number was completely missing in USPS' system.  Until I mentioned it on the KS page & the game designer replied that it was, indeed, present.

Turns out that the proper tracking number on the list was actually the one before my name.  Not after. So be advised to check the proper one.  Yours is probably approaching delivery anytime now, as mine was on the last shipment over.

Arctic Blast

Well, I had already checked the one above and below, and neither of them is Canadian. If it isn't this one, and this ends up being sent back because dude screwed up, then dude owes me some money.

He had an update suggesting one check on tracking numbers of those close to you just in case yours is sitting at the post office. How in the world am I supposed to know which people are close to me? Just start randomly typing tracking numbers in and hope for the best? And even if it was just sitting at the post office because I got the wrong number, I'm supposed to get it...how? "No, really, you totally have a package for me, only I don't have any proof of that, nor do I have the right tracking number for it. Is that a problem?"  :idiot2:

I don't anticipate any issue with getting it (the mail lady for this street still delivers parcels to the door even though Can Post doesn't really do that anymore), but this guy is beginning to really piss me off. I'm pretty sure that I won't be backing anything else of his going forward.
