The Duke comes of age and the betrothal can be enacted - i let my crazy sister out of prison expecting the plot to be instantly restarted, but it seems her opinion has improved whilst behind bars. She sets off to Galicia to produce more Jimena heirs.

............and then my Danish father-in-law turns up to help kick the Moor's ass - with a warscore of 69% its probably one more province to 100% but ill still only get Porto - if i could gauge the strength of his neighbours i'd declare holy war against the whole lot - until then piece by piece will have to do

........and there it is. I keep the province of Porto for me, the town of Guimareas has a Sunni mayor and my vassals will not be impressed if i kick him out at the moment so he can stay, the bishopric is handed over to a loyal court member whos wife has died - he becomes a bishop

The new board - the only weakness being the Spymaster - the Mrs.

Theres noone in the court i can appoint with a good intrigue score until the tutoring kicks in

The HRE enter the Muslim bashing business, they take Navarra and one province of Castille and stop the super power that was becoming the Dhunnunid Empire. Short terms goals are in the East, Albarracin, Urgell and then Soria to bridge the two kingdoms together. In the West, the remaining 3 provinces of Portugal - Coimbra, Braganca and Castello Branco and possibly the total removal of the Aftasids altogether.

Passing crusader ships roll back the fog of war in the South - a new province has emerged and Granada is under seige.

Please also note the elective succession occuring in Denmark in the top right, my wife is about to become the true heir to the Danish kingdoms, and my son the next King of Denmark.

...........and here she is, confirmed as the next in line with an ageing father. Totally outstanding, it would get me a major, major Kingdom in the North of Europe, and give me a massive legacy to hand over to my son Alvar. Holy shit, this is awesome...........

.......... more passing boats unroll the fog of war again - its chaos in the South. The Hammadids are trying to expand south, the Abbadids in the south-east are breaking up, and the Almovarids are trying to break into Iberia from the South. There isnt one ally that could possibly come to the Aftasids aid if i declared Holy War for Portugal and took a massive chunk of their land, im not usually prone to impulsive action but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity...................

The Catalan band and the Breton band are brought into bolster the 1600 i can raise - altogether we have about 5000 - Aftasid marches with approx 3500 - its going to be a protracted affair but as long as we can keep on top of the sieges we should get the warscore up as quick as possible.
