A good episode, nothing overly surprising but seems to setup  nice frantic finish to the season.

Yeah, that was definitely a setup episode.  Not bad, but the attempt on Arya's life irritated me.  That assassin has been itching to kill Arya from the moment she arrived...she finally gets the nod, and that's the best she can do?  Shite.  Arya should've been toast.

Arya SHOULD be dead.  Gut stabs AND a twist of the knife?!  She shouldn't have gotten out of the water.  I immediately looked at my daughter and said, "Dream sequence."  And it better be.  Because if she gets away from that, I will feel a little less impressed by GoT.

It seems the popular theory is the assassin is really her alternate personality...basically the bad side, trying to kill the good side, so the bad side can take over to allow her to kill...might explain why nobody seems to ever see the assassin.

If that's the case, I'll be sad about that, too.  It's not that GoT hasn't had its share of magic and things that shouldn't be possible (Dany and fire for example), but, most of it has been fairly straightforward stuff.  If this is a good Arya/bad Arya without some sort of clues along the way, to me, that will be inconsistent with how they have presented the show for 5+ seasons.  And there wouldn't even be a good reason for it :(

Read the season finale will be 69 minutes long, which makes it the longest got episode ever....I think it could even be longer like 2 hours with all the stuff it needs to bring closure this year:)

Jeez, I tried to read that article but it's absolute drivel.  "This happened in this way before, so surely it will happen again!"  Has this guy actually read any of the books?  Doesn't he know that one thing Martin loves to do above all else is subvert expectation?
