It's funny the high sparrow is really getting justice against lannisters and others who we all hated at the start, but yet we all want him dead:)

It will be interesting to see if she ever makes it to trial...if she does, one of those other fun rumors is the sparrow gets the hound and the brothers fight it out.  Heck of a match if true.  Although, kind of thinking cersie's time is just about up, so who knows.

Really disappointed in how the handled the Arya thing.  Typical Hollywood 'saved by virtue of being superhuman.'  No other way to explain that.  However, that is really only the second sour note I can remember the series producing.  Two in six seasons is a pretty good ratio.

I dunno, I'm ok with it. Arya is a survivor and one extremely tough lady. She has been through hell and then some.

Still hard to imagine taking several stabs to the stomach, falling of bridge, then leaping and falling around the city in a short amount of time....little bit of a stretch even for a tough person:)

Either way still was not very interesting conclusion....rest of the show was kind of bland too.

Yeah, the plot lines in season 6 so far definitely let you know that the show has outpaced the content from the novels and they're now falling back on more familiar tropes.  "but wait, he's not really dead!"  "the hero returns in the hour of need!", "of course she survived having her bowels punctured, she's a main character!".

Agreed.  I am not happy with Arya's storyline at all, what a load of bollocks.

Why was an actress able to miraculously heal a mortal injury?  Sorry, but "I've stabbed a lot of men in my time (and then healed them right afterward)" doesn't cut it for me
Why was Arya able to run and jump around a day later?
How, when she suddenly remembered she'd been knifed in the belly and was actually fairly close to death, was she able to defeat the waif, in darkness, someone she'd never been able to best?
Finally, and just as annoyingly, why would she return to Jaqen just to (effectively) tell him to fuck off after winning her freedom?  Bit of a gamble, yes?

One more thing.  Anyone who got annoyed at Elizabeth Shaw's running and jumping around after giving herself a c-section in Prometheus had better be as pissed off with Game of Thrones as they were after watching that film.

Anyway.  Disappointingly, that was another filler episode.  Like last week, some storylines moved forward a bit, but on the whole it was pretty bloody slow.  The last two episodes had better be pretty damn good after all this.

How, when she suddenly remembered she'd been knifed in the belly and was actually fairly close to death, was she able to defeat the waif, in darkness, someone she'd never been able to best?

This was about the only thing I did understand about that whole scene.....all that training while being blind probably did give her the edge in the dark...although I still think her wounds would have slowed her down just a bit:)  I guess the good thing is hopefully all the faceless crud is over now...lets get to the big battles!

I'm not even prepared to make that concession.  We saw the waif beat Arya time and time again while she was blind and fully fit; this time she also had Schrödinger's belly wound to contend with.  It was just awful writing.

Edit: Also, this episode confirmed that, despite all her training, Arya really was just a total moron in the last episode when she let herself be caught in the open like that.  Man, the more I think about this, the more annoyed I get.

But the waif had full use of her eyes when she attacked Arya before, I guess we don't know whether waif had any actual training being blind as well...don't get me wrong, I think the whole thing was stupid, but that part was the only small part that seemed possible (if you don't consider the stomach wound).  But  glad it is all over now, time for some fun to end the season!

Yes, on that we agree: it's all over now.  Arya's storyline can finally become interesting again!  Although unless HBO use some of the worst TV-time-compression the world has yet seen, there's no way she'll be back in Westeros in this series.

Oh, I don't know.  Martin writes chapters about characters that are in advance of other characters in ASoIaF.  Arya could get back this season. 

I agree with Grim on Arya and the blind fighting.  Perfectly healthy, I think she could have won handily if The Waif had no blind fighting skill.  Gut stabbed (and twisted!!!!!!), I don't think she had a chance.

Distance seems to be a flexible concept in AGOT.  Volantis is supposed to be halfway around the world, and yet the Greyjoys made it there in half an episode.
