Still nothing  :'(

Doom might get a purchase before the end. Maybe...

Doom is cheaper at GMG with the extra 10%....winter10 code

Thanks budd...now just to work out whether I actually want it or not. I wasn't blown away with the demo, but Angry Joe raved about it  ???

Or here : £ 12.99  https://uk.gamesplanet.com/game/doom-steam-key--2971-1?ref=itad

Grim.Reaper

Two main games on my radar.....ARAMA Apex ($17) and Graviteam Mius Front ($22)........I did pick up Dishonored 2 from a different place for $25 and so far enjoying the stealth elements.

As others have mentioned, largely you can get stuff cheaper from other sales/sites than steam during the entire year so these sales are less useful anymore, but you still can pick up the occasional item you cant get elsewhere.

Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack and Sword of the Stars I - Complete Collection cost almost nothing.
I Already own both but might get them via STEAM to avoid the multiple install/patching and have an online failsafe...not sure.

XCOM 2 looks tempting, I loved XCOM 1 but I heard there are timed missions. Not sure if that's fun (?).

Ian beware that EAW on steam does not have multiplayer support even for LAN iirc...

There are just too many games on sale. It would take half a day to look through all of them. :(
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Labbug

Bought X-Com 2, Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, and Stellaris.  Is it worth getting the Levianthans DLC for Stellaris or will the game play well without it?

There are mods to adjust the timings to your liking. One of my most played games in 2016.

Apocalypse 31

Picked up Total Annihilation for $1.20 yesterday. Looking at Ground Control I for the same price. Maybe when Steam comes up.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I suddenly connect to Steam two days before Christmas.  They're probably being overloaded with people jumping on the sale.

GC I was a great game. Not sure how well it's held up, but I definitely enjoyed it years ago.

Yep.  Just tried to log into Steam and can't get in.  Must be the traffic.

I'm also getting "no connection" when trying to get to Steam.
