Here are a few:

Scythe
Xia: Legends of a Drift System
Fire in the Lake
Eldritch Horror
Arkham Horror
Forbidden Stars
Star Wars Rebellion
Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar
Andean Abyss
War of the Ring
Axis and Allies
Twilight Imperium 3rd Edition
Terraforming Mars
Dawn of the Zeds 3rd Edition
Imperial Assault
Warfighter WWII/Modern
In the Name of Odin
Cry Havoc

If we expect to do something with 3+ players, your picks that are high on my list:

Are any of you familiar with the Forbidden Stars rules?  It looked pretty cool, when I watched part of a demo quite awhile back.  But I'm almost completely in the dark about how it works right now..

I am familiar with the rules.  I've only played one game and that was against myself so I would need to brush up but Forbidden Starts is not a highly complex game that can't be picked up easily.  Maybe we could schedule a short training session in which a few of us gather to play a round or two with the goal of becoming familiar with the rules.

I've been wanting to learn Forbidden Stars too, for a while.

Are you the one traveling, Nef, or Tuna?

I own Scythe, too.

I can help power through the COIN series rules with Fire in the Lake; it's probably better to just have an experienced player guiding new players through turns. My overview lecture a few weeks ago was too fragmented, I think (basically whatever I was staring at, at the moment! -- but we weren't trying to play it, and that gives a lot of topical structure.)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

If you're up for teaching it sometime, I'd be up.   O0

Tuna is.

I ended up getting some more Warships time for the weekend since he's gonna be absent the rest of it.

I'm not seeing Forbidden Stars in the Steam store. I searched for both that exact name and by adding "Tabletop Simulator" before it as well... ???

Tuna

Maybe they got it from the Workshop, a freebie.

Yep, it's a workshop mod; there's a version that includes all 8 factions (including ad hoc fan expansions) and a 6 player map. Also a version with the official 6 player map expansion plus the 2 expansion factions.

Essentially, players can be anyone except the Sisters of Battle: Marines, ImpyGuard, Eldar, Chaos, Orks, Tyrs, Necs, and/or Tau.

Ah, okay, I gotcha...thanks, gents. I'd been wanting to learn this too so if a game comes up where you need another player, let me know please.

Wow, someone did Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit for TTS:

I don't have $800 to spare to buy a copy of this game. Any of you know how to play? I figure it's easy to learn. Maybe one of youse would be interested in a game sometime.

Guys, it looks like Republic of Rome has a module.... that would be pretty interesting to play with the right amount of people!

I'd be up for that, yep! -- although the host should create a new version with the labels and descriptions of all pieces back to English. ;) EDITED TO ADD: oh, hey, someone did do that already! Giggity!

RepRome is a political strategy game where the players (up to 6) attempt to keep the Republic alive long enough (because all players might lose together) for one of their factions to produce an Emperor (or the Consul for life equivalent rather, "Imperator" being a military title at first.)

It can be combined, somewhat (for up to 12 players in two co-ompitive teams!), with the spiritual prequel Republic of Carthage; which has a print and play, but not a TTS module yet. A really nice box version has been recently released, too (as PanzE knows), links to which can be found here at Grogheads: http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=11648.0 There's a less expensive "green" module, too.

I actually bought that game, way back when it came out in the early 2ks.

Played it a few times, and enjoyed.  But my copy went AWOL many years ago.  Haven't played in so long, I don't recall the rules.  :-\

Will do!

If we expect to do some Forbidden Stars on TTS sometime, it would be a good idea to gather the potential players for such a session.  Possibly get one started while we're there & save rest for later when people need to go for the evening.

Republic of Rome looks like it'd be some great political power scheming, as Roman families, but I think we'd all be entering new territory in playing it.

I fully read the rules, once, but I'd have to do so again, and probably refer back to them much more than usual.  Not your typical style of game rules, and there are many various parts, emulating Roman politics, which can be rather dense or situational.  I'd expect the first game to be rather clumsy for awhile due to that.

It's basically a cooperative game (protect Rome from enemies & difficulty) but each person plays a powerful Roman family also attempting to gain popularity, power, and fortune with their patrician characters while doing so.  To become more powerful than the other families, of course.  >:D  Mostly card-based game with a board for keeping track of various events & values.

Very good idea!  Ok I'll start refreshing my memory on the rules and then I'll post an invite thread in the seeking opponents area soon.

Better to explain once than many separate times.  :)
