Now how about playing the actual game? And enjoying the new multiplayer mode :)
Thanks Dimitris. Anything I can do to help?

I should clarify that other games can be played at a significant load of 40% or more on the first core with no temp issues. Usually though these games are spread across cores though, but most cores including the first one will be between 20% and 40%.

CMO seems to be at 10-15% utilisation and only on the first core while sending temps to what is an acceptable level for the CPU type I have, but double what most other games cause including high end ones. I just had the most cores over 50% utilisation including the first core for space marine 2 set to ultra settings in a mission shooting at stuff for half the temp load.

I am wondering because I undervolted my CPU because of CPU heat issues due to poor architecture (bottleneck) if CMO is somehow undoing that and sending the voltage on the cpu up somehow. I have not had time to check that out though.

I'd love to enjoy the new multiplayer mode, with the fans and temperature like they are constantly I will have to wait until the issue is fixed.    It sounds like you guys know what you need to do to fix  this. It's just a matter of time.

As I said earlier, if you run one core full tilt it goes into maximum turbo mode, aka overclocking itself.

Wether that one core worth of load moves around the physical cores is kind of irrelevant here.

I understand that... the volts go up as you enter turbo mode and the "power" increase causes more heat, no matter the the load in any cores. Some processors have really bad logic for this turbo bumping and you can customise the power curves to compensate and stop early bumps for no reason. I am not willing to do this for one game with a known issue.

I am already undervolted on my CPU because it has more than enough grunt and even though it was supposedly within the manufacturer limits at full load, I was not comfortable with the fan noise or the heat generated. I suspect it would have lowered the life expectancy of the CPU no matter what the manufacturer might say. I remember silica migration from back in the day :P

The load for CMO is only the first core at 10-15% load and never seems to be lower even when doing nothing. you're burning power even if their is no work to do. This seems to be consistent whether zoomed in or out or just sitting their doing nothing never having moved the mouse.

As I said. I have not checked to see if my CPU clocked itself and upvolted to produce this heat and resultant fan noise or figure out what is happening. Even then the game still runs at 30 degrees under max rated temps for my CPU.
THe CMO guys say they know what the issue is and are working on fixing it. I am not going to waste any time diagnosing further when they know what the issue is.

How does the game run for you?
