Gaming through the Apcolypse

Well as we all know some out there are convinced that the world as we know it will end on Friday. So I figure we'd better get a jump on the weekend gaming thread, you know, just in case. I should be playing my favorite games of all time in case after Friday I don't get the opportunity to do so again, but I'm not sure I will.

I'm planning at shaking my fist in defiance of the Mayan Apcolypse by playing something from the following list.

Battle Academy - I've been playing through the Battle for Normandy campaign again the last couple of evenings.
Crusader Kings II - Only if I pick up the Aztec DLC, because it seems fitting. I know Aztecs are not Mayans. Whatever, dude.
Star Wars The Old Republic - Having fun playing my Sith inquistor.

Of course I'm sure some other game will grab my fancy and I'll end up playing something completely unexpected, but hey how often do you get to shake your fist in defiance of the end of the world by playing a game?

Well, I was going to cook a steak, but it turns out I've got to pick my sister up at the airport Friday night, so my gaming will have to wait until after the apocalypse. But I'm hoping to get in on some Warlock multiplayer action with some of you guys. Should be fun.

Crying through Toy Soldiers, perhaps some M2TW Britannia or M2TW Stainless Steel, and maybe some more training in RoF. And Warlock MP if anyone is around.

Well I picked up everything I need to play out an end of the world scenario playing Crusader Kings II for about $15 off the Steam sale. Ok. Basically I got the DLC I was missing and that crazy Aztec thingy. Now I just need to figure out what the hell I'm doing and hope I have fun doing it. Cause I'm really going to be pissed if the end comes and I'm not enjoy the game I'm playing.

Probably not the best time to finally decide to play the War in the Pacific AE full campaign !

For me a bit of WAW a World Divided or Carriers at War, back to some of the old stuff.

CMBN. I'm 13 turns from the end of the very last battle in the Road to Monteborg campaign. That should fit into the Mayan End of the World schedule nicely. If I'm still here Sat. morning, maybe I'll buy the 2.0 upgrade and re-play the last few turns and see if there's any great difference. I don't want to waste $10 bucks if the world's gonna end. That wouldn't make any sense at all.

I will hope to be asked to join the Warlock MP goodness. As a matter of fact, tomorrow is supposed to be a horrendous day weather wise and looking forward to coming home to some games will make the day bearable.

Playing some X-Com with the Warspace Extension mod tonight. Tomorrow night will be finishing my Christmas shopping, you know in case the Mayans are wrong, and maybe see the hobbit after that. That should just about wrap up the time I have left. If where still here Friday night, I think I might start a new Fallout 3 character.

IF they turn out to be wrong, then my gaming for this weekend and all of next week will be a mix of:

X-com

Skyrim: Think I've finally fixed the bug(s) that have been plaguing me. Going to start a new character, probably a mage, and focus solely on the main quest. I think If I devote 4-6 hours for 2-3 days I should be able to get through it. Want to have it done by the start of the new year, you know assuming there is one. lol

Crusader Kings 2: Want to finish up my Italian campaign and move onto something else. I'm thinking maybe one of the English dukes.

May spend the random hour here or there next week playing Mass Effect, Fallout 3, AJE, Fallen Enchantress, Sword of the Stars II, or Mech Warrior: Online

I might kicks in to Mass Effect 3. Probably continue Alan Wake as well. And of course, I'll be playing the 'HOLY CRAP EVERYTHING IS SO CHEAP!' game as well.

I'll be busy baking some humble pie tonight to hand out to all those die hards that believe crap.

AFTER I've baked those pies, I'm hoping for some Combat Mission Normandy and definitely more Far Cry 3 which I am enjoying immensely.

I would love to get more Flaming Cliffs done - but I always seem to be putting it off - even given the beauty of the game - I'm just finding it hard to get into games I have to learn keys for!

And I will be continuing my AAR of Thunderbolt Apache Leader.

True. Key assignment is what makes me not like FC as well. And it's different per aircraft. Study sims with just one aircraft are better but these games still feel like work.

I'll be playing Iron Front. It is frustrating but finishing a task (not even a whole mission) is quite satisfying if the event triggers fire off as planned.
