Heh, glad to be of service!  If you want strategy LOTR, I've heard that this total conversion for Age of Wonders is amazing.  You could do far worse than to pick up Shadow Magic anyway because it's one of the best fantasy TBS games ever made. :D

No, it is single player only.  The mod is based on the first Mount and Blade game.  Pretty fun mod and very well done.

No, but I did pick up the new lego version for $7...haven't played it yet, but all the reviews seem pretty favorable by people.

I have BFME2 and it's actually pretty good.  Not sure that I got it working in 1600x900 but it was very enjoyable nonetheless.

I don't hate War in the North.  It IS very much a hack and slash, but it's not terrible.  Sort of like Dungeon Siege, but in the LotR universe.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die is now ~20.00 at Steam. I know it's supposed to be really difficult and will probably tear me a new one, but...etc.

Haha!  Jeez.  I just checked the UK Amazon and it's over £50 here.  Crazy,  No I wouldn't pay that price, but I agree with Bison that it's decent if you like that kind of gameplay.  I'd keep looking if I were you though. :)

Added Hearts of Iron Finest Hour yesterday...who knows when I will get around to trying it:)

Looking at some light flight simming and Dogfighter 1942 has caught my eye for $7 on steam....certainly not a hard core game, but looking for something that I can fly around semi decent planes and shoot stuff down cheaply:)
