Bollocks! Back-stabbing is how battles are won!!!  It's called strategy.

Fun tip:   You can regenerate your health.  Just move back and crouch for a long time.

Just like WotR.  Archers don't really help the cause (especially if you're on the attacking side).  So I despise them.  I get so much pleasure from whacking them every time.

I say we form The Society for the Advancement of Archer Punting and get competitions going to see who can kick one the furthest.  Bonus if you can impale them on the redbouts below.

I really am just not enjoying Chivalry at all.  I wish I had FRAPS set up so I could have shot some video of Chivalry gameplay tonight compared to War of the Roses gameplay just previous.  The gameplay is so different.

You've kinda struggled with both of these titles. I remember you being a bit turned off by War of the Roses back in the beta.

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Different stokes.  I'm just the opposite.  I am having a blast playing Chivalry but I find playing War of the Roses to be a grind.  I like designing my own character types and trying them out in battle, I just don't find the gameplay itself very fun at all.  I really, really dislike the teleporting spawn next to squad leader feature.

I feel that they fixed a lot of the issues I had with the beta, especially the levelling.  I mean, I have 20 hours in and more gold than I can possibly spend so you get to start customizing pretty quickly.

I get what you're saying about the squad spawn SDR, but I don't find it the game killer you do.  I wouldn't be surprised if it gets patched out eventually, though.  A lot of folks complain about it.

Wotr is good and it involves a lot of thinking. But not a lot of players think so it gets frustrating.  chivalry focuses more on fighting and the system is quite elegant.  This must be the reason why chivalry is more popular as most people would just want to go and fight.

You can vote for Chivalry to be the next Steam sale.  50% off if it wins.

I may have to check out the Archer class next.

I mean.. how hard is it to only fire at distant enemies and relocate if the dogfight gets too close, anyway?
