Rapid Trident is an annual U.S. Army Europe conducted, Ukrainian led multinational exercise designed to enhance interoperability with allied and partner nations while promoting regional stability and security.

I'm not sure this means what they think it does.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I still dont see anyone here actually advocating that we send troops to the Ukraine and start a shooting war with Russia?  So what else does that leave other than people on the sidelines trying to get us dragged into this mess.  Its easy to say yes to using force after all that got us two gulf wars and look how well those turned out....much harder and wiser to say no

Con

And this is the attitude the Putin is counting on.

There are two choices, do as you advocate and what we are currently doing, which is very little.  Or send troops in Ukraine and challenge Putin to keep pushing.

We did nothing when Putin took South Ossetian from Georgia.  We did nothing when he took Crimean from Ukraine.  We have placed economic sanctions on him, but it doesn't seem to be doing a lot to cause him to pull back.
I do. It's the only thing Putin would understand. And it is far more important issue then ISIS.

We Germans had our Hitler and did nothing to stop him.
Now he is back in Russia and does the same things, the only difference is the direction, not west east, this time east west.
People in Russia , dont make the same misstake we did, stop him before ist to late.

Many Russians seem to admire them, in that they bring a sense of power to Russia. As if they become more powerful by association with Russia following the idiot exploits.

I see the long term problem with these land grabs as #1 a hardening of positions from all parties that builds until everyone wants a war to screw the other party. He sets in motion something he cannot possibly control.

QuoteRussian courts could get the green light to seize foreign assets on Russian territory under a draft law intended as a response to Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.

The draft, which was submitted to parliament on Wednesday by a pro-Kremlin deputy, would also allow state compensation for an individual whose property is seized in foreign jurisdictions.

Italian authorities this week seized property worth about 30 million euros ($40 million) belonging to companies controlled by Arkady Rotenberg, an ally of President Vladimir Putin targeted by the U.S. and European Union sanctions.

That'll show 'em, Russia. If you couldn't alienate yourself any further, I think you just managed to pull it off...unless, of course, you pass this law.

Staggerwing

Yeah, that'll really ease the minds of any remaining foreign investors still thinking of entering Russian markets...  ::)
