Still might pick up Red Dragon, but just concerned I didn't get a lot of play with the older versions....

For me Red Dragon is a much improved game. The ability to slow down the game makes it much more manageable for me than the earlier versions. I don't have the reflexes for clickfests anymore.

Crap, I just bought Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 Enhanced Editions.  I think this is now the 4th copy of those two games I own.

That's it.  I'm not buying these two games again.  Period!   

Still, for about $11 I figure it's worth it to just be at the pointy end of these games evolution.  Ghostryder would likely approve.  Actually, he wouldn't.  He'd say the enhanced editions aren't core enough.   ::)

Just a word on Tropico 5  - make sure your graphics card runs Direct X 11.
I just wasted money on this game because I didn't check the DX requirements.

Although the quickness and RTS nature of the game gives me pause, its not the only thing....just remember really having hard time understanding all the decks and just get a hang of playing....likely never gave it enough time....I have a day to decide:)

Picked up Mercenary Kings. It reminds me a lot of the old Bionic Commando on the NES.  :)

So we're coming down to the final stretch. When should you buy the game you've been watching? I wanted to get Horizon but it hasn't budged from 50% off. Same with Dominions 4.

I thought the danger has passed, but I think I might crumble and get Transistor.  From what I hear it is similar to Frozen Synapse in that it is cyberpunk-themed, has a great soundtrack, and allows you to plan out your actions before the combat begins.  Think I am going to have to jump.

Is it realtime combat?.....looking at some of the combat videos, seems pretty intense and I wonder whether I can control all the parties at the same time during those hectic times?

It is realtime but you can pause anytime to issue orders. In addition, party members can be assigned detailed scripts.
