I might have missed this, but any thoughts on best two types of characters to start with?  I was thinking either a knight or fighter and a mage or wizard.  I know the classes don't mean a ton at the start, at least from what I read, but have to think becomes important at some point.

If you had to use a certain combination to get anywhere in the game I'd be less than impressed...

for pure spread of strategy - iw ould have thought one close combat and one long range stood at the back

i initially went assassin and warrior but thats 2 melee

im going for 1 melee and 1 ranged, so prob warrior and wizard so i can get my magic on

Surely that's one tank and one DPS?

The elemental casters are the real offensive power in this game.  You'll see how murderous they are with one of those area combos.

My wizard's Oil spell, later lit by a Fire spell, is bitchin on groups.

Magic is very prominent in the game, right? It's not muted, for lack of a better word?

last night the first fight i came across with a warrior and assassin was a 3 or 4 round affair, i took some damage and hacked down the baddies

tonight, upsteps my ginger haired/pigtailed wizardess, cast fireball - 3 smoking heaps, warrior stood scratching his ass

I just drop that Oil pool spell around some enemies and then hit that with the Flare fire spell.  It blows up good.  The baddies are immolated and burning a few turns afterward.  And the cooldown on those elemental attack spells are only 1 turn!  Murderization.

My Knight is just a tank-ish Decoy.  I started putting points into his Social skills.   ;D

Does anybody know what the difficulty level changes when you select easy, normal, or hard?  Couldn't find anything that states what changes.

Found this information in one of the support forums:

"The difficulty level gives a HP modifier (+60/+15/-25% for easy/normal/hard) and the hard difficulty modifies chance to hit (you get -10%, opponents +20%)."
