yep - if you can get in early on a Reaper Kickstarter, and have $100 to drop, you soooooooooo get your money's worth.

That one up there is over 140 figures, plus assorted weapons, bases, etc.

Thanks, Brant.

I'm not terribly fond of the Bones series. It's a weird plastic that is difficult to work with. I like to file down all the casting lines I can in order to have none visible when I paint. The bones series is rubbery and doesn't take to filing well. It's also a little too flexible and if a piece is bent I find it difficult to reshape.

However, for the money they are an incredible deal, I agree. I'll look this over again and see if there's enough to fill in the holes I have in my D&D minis collection.

Damn, that's quite a lot.

Unfortunately, I've not been gawking high fantasy stuff.  Mostly Cyberpunk, Post-Apoc, or Weird West for Deadlands.  Pretty scattered offerings.

OK, that Ma'aldrakar five headed dragon would be an excellent ersatz Tiamat. Too bad it'll arrive next year. I need it around November.

Anyway...just for giggles I started playing around with the pledge calculator and I'm totally confused.

The base set is advertised as being $100, but when I hit the pledge calculator it costs $150. Also, the Ma'aldrakar model is supposed to be $60 as an add-on, but after I select the core set and Ma'al the cost is $90 for the dragon. Total cost $240 when it should be $160.

What am I missing?

Is everyone kinda buying more games than usual lately? Like we are stocking up for winter?

I normally buy a couple times a year and I have done three fairly large orders in the past two weeks (latest coming in Thursday).

Just seems everyone is being 'bad'...including me (I claimed these as my B-Day present to myself :) )

I'm actually about the list some games for sale locally on BGG.

Of course, I'll probably spend most of what I get on more games.  8)

Ah, found the answer. I think I need to make the pledge for the amount on KS and then order and pay through the Pledge Calculator. That's not complicated or anything.  ::)

Is there a different price now that the campaign is closed, and they are just doing pre orders?

After poking around a bunch more I think the price went up after it closed.

I'm not desperate for any of that and am not fond of the material they use. A 50% price hike isn't exactly attractive to me at this point. Maybe later I'll bite on that five headed dragon but for now I'll pass. I have a D&D Tiamat. She's not nearly so large and impressive, but it's already bought and paid for. And painted.

I have a stack to go too...and for the same reason...wanna pay down the CC after the last 3 orders...so I can start again.

Not totally sure yet. I won't list until next week to avoid Thanksgiving weekend. I do have a file box full of Axis & Allies Minis stuff that I traded for a year ago...and that has simply sat on the floor in the box since then. That can probably go. I might move my copy of Labyrinth and/or FAB : Sicily, since those are equally aged (and equally untouched). Non wargame wise, probably my Wiz War set, Heroes Wanted set, and a few other things that didn't go over well at recent gaming days.

Just came in today - holy snockers this thing is a beauty!  Some of the best quality print for a wargame that I've ever seen....it's more Eurogame quality stuff without it being an actual <stupid*> Eurogame!
