I'm reading the manuals for Matrix World in Flames, wondering if it might be getting close to the time to take it out for a spin. Probably playing a bit of Majesty 2 as well.

are you reading the calendar at the same time?

Kushan

I'm sure it Friday somewhere on the planet.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

more importantly its happy hour somewhere.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Heh. The only way to be the one starting this thread is to get an early jump. Waiting till Friday won't matter ... if it's gone. (to paraphrase another Stones song)

fair dos

has WiF had a major improvement to inspire you with confidence?

Sir Slash

I'm going to :smiley6600: that poor girl and see needs help getting out of those wet things.

A new patch recently came out. It has a very long list of improvements, though I'm still waiting for definitive feedback on how much it improves the game. There have been people playing for many months and claiming that the current bugs are pretty minor.

I've been jonesing for serious WW2 action for some time now. I'm torn between..

MWIF: Which would require finding a good, trustworthy opponent (for using teamviewer) and some serious lifestyle disruption to accommodate time for months of live play and changing the desk around to fit the second monitor.

ASL: I'd have to start the monumental task of studying the rules and then begging GJK for a learning game or 2. OK, the second part may not be as monumental.

OCS: I love this system and had a lot of fun playing out a couple (game) months worth of Case Blue with my former regular online opponent. We meshed very well in our gaming, but I can't get so much as the time of day from him anymore. He has health issues but I see him playing games with others on a regular basis, so I have to wonder what I did or said. ???  Anyhow, this would also require finding a good opponent and studying the rules. DAK2 seems like it would be an amazing experience to play through.

The Last Nestorian King this weekend for sure -- not a narrative AAR (unfortunately), because I'm too new to the CK2 system, but hopefully a more interactive one as I'm taking advice from Groggies on how the game works and what I ought to be doing.

The first post mostly explains why I looked for someone like the little island of Socotra, and who that little Emir is supposed to be in historical context (maybe, as for all I know he's a fictional character daubed in for a colorful corner by the Paradox devs); tonight I'll start posting more screenies of the kingdom's situation and what I did in my first moves already.

It's set back at the Charlemagne bookmark, in an odd corner of the map, so it's far from a normal playstart.
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

Sounds interesting!  I will probably be playing some CKCharlemagne too.  Maybe I'll be Burgundy.  And of course, WitpAE PBEM and some boardgames.

It IS 3:50 a.m. in Sydney, Australia right now. So yes it is technically Friday from about the east coast of China to the International Date Line.  O0

I will be trying to figure how to turn Wednesday in to Friday so I can start more of these ;)

Not sure what it will be this weekend.  I keep promising To End All Wars and never seem to get to it.  I've actually been playing a boatload of Civilization: Revolutions on my Nintendo DS.  I might get a MP of Age Of Empires III.  And hoping Banzai_Cat doesn't have a house full of people and will be there Sunday morning for our Warlock throwdown.
