Getting prompted for a serial number for the core game, but I have none. Not in My Account/Downloads, wasn't emailed to me, nowhere. I do have serials for the Commander's Pack, but those don't seem to work. Am I missing something?

I go to my account, under downloads...then on lefthand side of the screen there is a product code....I used that product code as the serial number and it worked for me.

Yeah, I have those for the modules but nothing for the core game. That's where I'd expect to find it, but I got nothin'. At least one other person is seeing the same thing.

Thanks for the confirmation that it should be there. Thought I was overlooking something obvious.

Go to your account profile, and click on downloads.  Should show up under your order.   I got just the core engine also, and was a little confused on this point too.

Edit.. I'm too slow  ;-)

Since free, maybe try buying again or try buying the core game under another account...just need the install anyway.

Exactly what I did, and this time I have a serial number. Odd, but I suspect the site might be a little slammed.

Excellent...probably just growing pains of a new store for digital games.

Yes.

Log into the LNL site - that is, from the main page - and then proceed to My Account. Under the "My Orders" column you'll find the option "Downloads". There you'll find the serial numbers, on the left hand side, after "Product Code:", along with links to download your stuff.

Anyone else getting text problems where layers of text / ui stuff is mixing together, making it unreadable?  I noticed it on the OOB screen first, and now see it when trying to edit a bombard mission after editing an attack order....

I haven't noticed it but have seen a post on the official forums talking about text issues like this.

Try this is you don't mind... create an attack order.    Then right click on the order and view it.   Then create a bombard order.  Do the same.   Is your text not garbled?   If not, I guess it's probably Windows version or something related.

Also... do I freakin' really have to register TWO ACCOUNTS on the LNL site, one for purchases and another for the forums????

Yes, seeing exactly this. I think I saw a similar post about this on the LnL forums. Making it a bit difficult to plan attacks.

Re: Limits on downloads - our own James Sterrett asked this question on the LnL forums. Dave Heath replied that the downloads are limited to 10 only from the perspective of trying to stop DDOS attacks. If anyone ever hits their limit, just submit a ticket and it'll be reset.

Also, it looks like download managers can mess with the count, and there seems to be some issue where Chrome does the same.

I'm also seeing text overlapping on buttons.

panzerde and Jarhead
are your Window's general 'text-size / dpi-setting' also 125% or different from 100 % ...that may be the problem
I see that effect in the Force info window overlays

I own and enjoy the originals. Apart from all the posts about cost, text size, frame rates, download limits, etc.....what about the actual gameplay and user interface.  Is this new game all that different from the original, enough so as to make it worth the price? Or is it just a big patch fixing some issues with the first? What is different about this iteration as compared to the first?
