What a horrific act and of course these bastards are always brave enough to attack middle aged folks in the Western world.  I dont know what the answer is but it starts by having Muslims do more than denounce these acts in the name of their religion.  Wont write anymore since that is a topic for another thread.

Compounding the issue is that apparently the cops over there were unarmed, too.

Several Paris police officers who came into contact with the armed terrorists who slaughtered 10 journalists at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical magazine, retreated from the gunmen because they were unarmed, according to an eyewitness.

I modified my post since I dont want to make this an argument about whether guns would have or could have prevented this. My contention is that only Western Muslims can prevent these terror acts from occurring in the West not external security and police.

Well, considering the religious twits would rather get more in an uproar over that Lebanese porno girl in Florida (Star, get her number, stat) wearing the Muslim hoodie (hijab) while blowing a guy, than you know, actually solving the extremist idiocy in their religion...things ain't going to get solved anytime soon.

I think people are, by now, getting tired of the bullshite the mainstream media keeps shoveling every time something like this happens.

If we were to really act in solidarity then all the news organizations with balls would print the cartoon on their front page that these terrorists were using as a twisted rationale to perpetrate this massacre.  We should all go Lenny Bruce on them and spread it so far and wide that their actions have the opposite effect of fear and repression
