And this, as I understand it, is part of Bill Maher's point.  Sure the majority of Muslims don't kill non-Muslims or join war with ISIS; but the majority of Muslims, world-wide, do sympathize (to a point, e.g. "the victims brought it upon themselves") with the actions of jihad-type terrorists.

The mayor of Rotterdam is a rare minority.

The host does his very best to not talk about the elephant in the room.
At the end of the clip (last 30-40 seconds), the caller gets to the core. Note how fast the host shuts that discussion down.

I wish I had kept the article, but a couple of days ago I was reading how poorly the Muslim immigrants to France had adapted to being French, even those individuals who were born in France.  Pretty much exactly the question you are raising.

Doesn't it beg the question:
Why haven't other religious/cultural minorities (In Europe as a whole) blown up trains, assassinated (or attempted assassinations) of film directors, authors, cartoonists and/or simple random civilians, because their religious feeling were hurt? <BLEEP> <BLEEPING> <BLEEP>
