5am this morning and it was 73...damn nippy for this part of the country.

Almost August and still no 100 degree day where I live in Alabama.  No seasonal drought either.  Easiest summer in years.

Same here in West TN. Last week was pretty brutal with heat index just under 120 (from high 90s, not 100 degree weather), but this week we aren't expected to crack 90, and mostly we've been in the low 80s. Feels like autumn early. No complaints from me.

Got plenty of that here.  It's fun watching the puppy and kitten chase bugs at night.

Hot as hell up here on the left coast of Canuckistan and fires are burning all over the province.  Weird as it was an unusually snowy winter and wet and cool spring.

My dog likes to chase and eat bugs too. He's useful like that.

Feels like mid/late September today. Low 70s, air is dry, strong breeze. Very comfortable after the past week or so of ungodly humidity.

Same here in Nebraska. It can stay this way for the rest of August as far as I'm concerned.  O0

We ran the a/c about 3 days a few weeks ago.  Since then...it ought to be a lot hotter by now.  Not sure when those ungodly humid days occurred in Maine, but it's been smooth sailing in Newport.

Not real stoked coming home chilled after surfing yesterday...in a wetsuit...in August...

I seem to remember last year it got really uncomfortably hot here for about two solid weeks around late July.  It just hasn't gotten like that this year, other than just a handful of days.  And that was mostly because the winds died down.  As long as we have a good sea breeze, it just doesn't get that hot.  I'm not necessarily complaining, but I like my summers a bit more on the toastily uncomfortable side.  I'm not looking for fall weather this time of year.

The past five or six days in DC have been very pleasant.  It almost feels like October instead of the hazy hot humid dog days of August.
