I was unintentionally obscure.  I mean my personal ATS craze.  I dug all of the ATS stuff I could find out of the hayloft.  I think I got it all.  It had been in the hayloft for over two years.  In hopes of getting the latest edition of the rules ( I have editions 2 and 3) as well as
some French Tanks, I ordered Stonne Heights.

I'm not sure what a good base game for the series is out there.  Presumably you could start with any game that has the markers (the famous half-inch markers) and the rules and tables, but you have to go through a lot of stuff on their site to find out anything and then
negotiate with Maureen about what they will actually send you.  I think I'm getting Stonne Heights without a game box and 10 dollars off the list price (yippeee).

If that all works out, I'll try the TT (table top) games.  The TTs seem to be scaled down ATS games (ie without the 1-inch counters).  But who knows?  ATS has always been a messy adventure at best.

Wargaming buddy sent me this as an early Christmas present.  Reviews are excellent on the geek.  Rules are easy and the components are top notch.  This will be hitting the table over the long weekend!

I've been considering picking that up. I have the first game by the same designer (Hell of Stalingrad) and it's decent. Let me know how you end up finding this one.

Wow!  Those sound great.  Well I have Fontenoy, a marvelous game.  I'll probably get Saints in Armor.  Where else will one
ever see those battles?

Meanwhile, I just ordered a punched and damaged 1978-1980 AH Bismarck.  Might be fun.  at least it was cheap.

I don't want to quote an image, but to bboyer I really want to know what you think of Next War: Korea.

In fact, I was going to post a thread on the subject.  Does it make any sense to buy a boardgame that you know you have almost no chance of playing?

I ask that because Next War: Korea has been on my want list since it was announced a few years ago.  In fact, I still can't believe I haven't bought it.  It's not expensive.  But, the thing is, I know there is almost no chance I will get around to playing it.  There just isn't.  Yet, I really want it for some reason I can't fathom.  It doesn't make sense to buy a boardgame you probably won't play, does it?
