I thought MetalDog was going to roll for us...?

The dice were with me that day.  :D

The better fight was the one when that same fighter knocked the wyvern out of the sky and pinned him to the ground by the wing.  8)

I am not saying anything like that BB, but as an ex DM I had a standard practice of using a PC's hot dice for DMing as well

every time I have logged into Grogz I have looked at the dice from below

took the sum of the first three dice -

11, 08, 07, 14, 11 .... waiting for one more

maybe I will start again and do the 4d6 - lowest d6 (yes, I put the awful in Lawfull)

for muchas diceage, go to:   http://grogheads.com/dice.html

you can start at top or bottom, and go through columns or rows

Pick the first 4 dice of any particular color:
Green, blue, black, white, red, orange

Or pick every other die, or pick the first die after a red die in each column going down, or whatever method you prefer.  Every time you refresh, it'll load a new array for you :)

It's a simple image array, repeated in a table, but it works.

I'll get other dice types (d10, d20, d%, etc) up there soon enough.

Well I quickly did a 4d6 run from the front page and it was bad.....

I think I'd name him Protectus Meatius - Meat Sheild for short .... poor bastard would never stand a chance against a house cat (I remember dying fighting a rabbit in Ultima Online .... that was messed up)

I just pulled up Excel and created a cell with a =RANDBETWEEN (1,6) and pulled it across 4 columns. Then I created another cell with (for example) =SUM(the four cells) - MIN (of the four cells) - so it sums the four and subtracts the lowest value.  I pulled the whole thing down to six rows, selected the six "sum" cells, copied, and pasted as value to some empty cells.

It actually took me longer to write this post than to do it.

nice.... love working with spreadsheets

Alright.  Everyone who expressed an interest has received a PM from me with dice rolls.  They can be used in any order to make your character.  You can also change the numbers with a two for one method.  For example, your rolls are:

12
17
15
14
14
9

You would like to have another 15 to take advantage of a better bonus.  You can take any of the numbers, subtract two from it and add one to another number.  So, let's say that you take 2 off one of the 14's and add the 1 to the other 14.  Now your rolls look like this:

12
17
15
15
12
9

Any sort of number switching like this needs to be passed by me for final approval.

I have also started another thread with some info on the game world.  You can post in there, but I ask (in vain, I'm sure) that you try to keep the posts germane to the thread.

Once I have everyones reply to what they want their characters to be, we can finish the character creation portion and start filling in some backstory.  It would be better if you already have a class picked out, but some of you are unfamiliar with the whole process and I will be glad to help you build your character accordingly.

I found a character sheet at this link.

http://files.pcode.nl/temp/osric_charactersheet.pdf

Since I've never done this before it will help get myself organized.  After I fill out the parts I know I'll upload it so MetalDog can tell me all I did wrong :)
