Banzai is using the iPad version

Oh thank christ on a stick.

LOL @ "Lego Football" - probably explains a lot of my success. :)

I had 13 on my phone and took mighty harrogate town from blue square north to the championship but there I ran into a brick wall and couldn't string 2 passes together, my first season I was undefeated

So I've never played any of these games but I have a question about some of those screenies:  the names and pictures of the players, are they real people?  It just seems weird you guys "managing" non-league teams and talking about your players and their performances.  Is there some brickie in Dover who's dissatisfied with the game's value of his tackling ability? And is the mugshot really of him?

Not taking the piss - I'm genuinely curious about this.

At the beginning of the game you're given the option of using real players of fictitious ones.  There are over 1000 real scouts who meticulously rate each and every player.  It's amazing how accurate these guys are.  The guys you see in the Skrill South are actual players just as the ones in the Premier League.  The mugshots are of the players as well.  There are "facepacks" available that contain 10s of thousands of player's smiling faces.

It's a great game.  This years version has been exceptionally challenging. >:(

I haven't played in a couple of days - I'm actually afraid to now.  :-\

And so I'm answered - thank you!  Somehow it seems more intrusive judging the performance of Gary X of St Albans FC than that of Steven Gerrard of Liverpool FC, but really that's not so.

True, but now, good or bad, they're immortalized within the game.  I'll bet Gary X gets a kick out of it.

I noticed they did a couple of minor updates since the big update back in December...do they ever provide details as to what they fix in these minor ones?  Anything big or something that could impact a career?

What the heck is an "English FA Cup?" Apparently my Cheesefaire FC is to play Gloucester in it.

JudgeDredd

It's a competition

It's a rather prestigious cup and one that ANYONE can win....from the lowest divisions to the highest. It allows smaller clubs play against bigger clubs with the chance of kicking them out the cup and therefore getting a big scalp...PLUS - a major bonus - is the amount of money the smaller clubs make from playing some of the bigger clubs in their share of the gate receipts and TV rights. For example - a wee club with normally a few hundred supporters and their ticket prices...get to play Manchester United with 70k+ fans and the TV rights of playing such a prestigious team.
