Steam Summer Sales Begins - (June 19-30)

Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition for $6.24.  The enhanced edition for BG1 was pretty well done. Basically the same game but with wide screen enabled, ability to scroll out for larger view, added npc's, crisper graphics.

I know I am probably the only person who never played this series, is it still worth picking up now?

A must buy if you like party-based RPG. Great story and co-op play is a blast.

Is it realtime combat?.....looking at some of the combat videos, seems pretty intense and I wonder whether I can control all the parties at the same time during those hectic times?

Real time but with the ability to pause at any time and issue orders, take a potion, attack, cast a spell, etc. It works really well. You can also go into the options and set it up to pause automatically in a variety of situations. I set it to auto-pause when any enemy is sighted and when my thief finds a trap. But there are many other options you can add to the list.

Thanks for the additional information on BG guys, finger getting closer to the purchase button:)  I always see games compared to BG so intrigues me to see what all the fuss is about and for a cheap price.

This might have already been posted but I just came across this link that shows all 2999 Steam games on sale during the Steam Summer Sale right now! I had no idea there were so many games on Steam.
Now, back to looking at the list.

So far, I've only bought Unity of Command - Black Turn... I'm eyeing Football Manager 2014 and hoping OOTP15 gets a little bigger discount before the sale ends.   I am also tempted by Shadowrun Returns and its expansion.   I'm not a huge cyberpunk fan, but they look interesting.

My willpower held out pretty well for this sale. Just the Canadian Mountain Passes route for Train Simulator 2014 and the six DLC's for EU IV that I was missing. About $31 total.

That's awesome.  My daughter mad me get Octodad before it went on sale but she got a lot of laughs out of the game.  Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to keep baby happy!

Huh.  I've been completely indifferent to Goat Simulator until now - I hadn't realised it would be acceptable for kids to play it.  I'll have to take a look now.

Edit: OK I've just watched the two trailers on Steam - I need this game!  ;D
